Tim Brennan of the nonprofit Farm Foundation was announced as moderator. The panel was part of the 14th annual summit, held September 22–24, 2025, in Orlando, Florida, which the organizer says was the first time the event took place in that city.
The lineup was announced in a preview published April 1, 2025, written in the future tense. The event has since taken place, so the details below describe a completed 2025 edition.
Who the panelists are
The three panelists run very different kinds of agricultural businesses: farm management and dairy, forestry and ranching, and agritourism. The announcement describes each as follows.

What the panel was set to cover
The announced discussion topics were:
- Agritourism, using Southern Hill Farms as the reference point for a farm that draws visitors.
- Collaboration with industry partners.
- Creative on-farm solutions.
- Technical and vertical integration models.
Read together, the lineup covers both sides of farm income: direct sales to visitors and the longer supply chains of dairy and timber. Cheri De Jong’s role managing many businesses at once adds a portfolio-level view that the other two panelists, who describe single operations, do not offer.

What the organizer reported about the 2025 summit
Women in Agribusiness describes its aim as growing female leadership in agribusiness, and presents the summit as a combination of education and networking. Its 2025 retrospective reports the following figures for the Orlando edition:
- 700 women attending.
- 60+ speakers.
- 20+ sessions.
- 25+ dedicated networking hours.
The organizer said the 2025 summit focused on trade policy, market access, supply-chain management and executive leadership. Those topics extend beyond the panel’s announced list, so the summit as a whole was broader than the panel.
