In its Q4 2024 shareholder letter, Netflix said it would “occasionally ask our members to pay a little more” as it invested in programming and improved the service. In January 2025, it announced adjustments to most plans in the U.S., Canada, Portugal, and Argentina. Netflix prices in the U.S. as reported in March 2026
TechCrunch reported on March 26, 2026, that Netflix confirmed the following U.S. monthly prices by email. The report said new members saw the updated prices starting March 26, while existing subscribers would receive the change over the following months, with an email notice one month before the increase applied. For your own bill, use the price and effective date in your Netflix account or billing notice. Netflix says plan prices and features vary by country, so U.S. rates should not be applied to subscribers elsewhere.
What Netflix’s latest filing says about global prices and revenue
Netflix’s Form 10-Q for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 reported that its plan prices ranged from the equivalent of US$1 to US$38 per month globally; extra-member sub-account prices ranged from US$2 to US$10 per month. The filing also reported that revenue grew 13% year over year to $12.560 billion in Q2 2026 and 15% to $24.810 billion in the first half of 2026. Netflix identified membership growth, price increases, and increased advertising revenue as primary drivers of that growth, with favorable foreign-exchange movements also affecting the comparison. The results show that pricing contributed to revenue growth; they do not show that price increases alone caused it.
Netflix says advertising is another part of its growth strategy. Its investor FAQ describes ad-member growth, improved ad fill rates, and maintaining industry-leading CPMs as long-term drivers. As of 2026, the company said it offered ad plans in 12 markets and planned launches in 15 more markets in 2027. These are Netflix’s stated plans and expectations, not guarantees.

How to judge whether another increase is likely
The evidence points to a real possibility, not a firm forecast. Netflix has said it periodically adjusts prices, recently raised U.S. rates, and reported price increases as one contributor to recent revenue growth. Its stated focus on long-term revenue maximization adds context, but it does not establish a fixed hike cycle.
- Established: Netflix periodically reviews pricing and raised prices in several markets in January 2025, followed by U.S. increases reported in March 2026.
- Not established: A date, amount, cadence, or list of markets for the next increase.
- Not supported: Claims that prices rise every year, that another hike has been confirmed, or that every country will get the same increase.
What subscribers can check before changing plans
Compare what you actually pay with the features you use, and check local plan options rather than relying on another country’s prices. Consider the monthly total, including any extra-member fee, as well as whether you are willing to watch ads and whether the plan’s features meet your needs. If a price change is coming to your account, Netflix’s notice should identify when it takes effect.
