Dilate Digital announced it had acquired Aligned Agency, a boutique Western Australian digital agency, as a way to strengthen its position in its home market and support a planned push into eastern Australia. The companies described the transaction as a combination of marketing and creative talent with broader brand, application and software-development capabilities. Those are the stated aims; the available announcements do not establish whether the eastern expansion or full integration later took place.

What Dilate Digital announced

TechBullion published the announcement on June 25, 2024, as a BusinessNews Wire release. Separate company material reproduced by CB Insights gives June 10, 2024, as the merger announcement date. The sources do not explain why the dates differ, so they should be treated as distinct publication and announcement dates rather than reconciled as one.

The announcement identifies Aligned Agency as a boutique agency based in Western Australia. Its listed services include SEO, ads management and social media advertising. The company material says Aligned was established in 2016.

The announcement does not disclose the purchase price or other transaction terms. It also does not establish client overlap, employment effects, integration milestones or post-deal performance.

Why the companies said they joined forces

Dilate said the acquisition would deepen its Western Australian footprint before the agency pursued national growth, with particular emphasis on eastern Australia. This is the companies’ forward-looking rationale, not confirmation that expansion later occurred.

Dilate described itself as a full-stack digital marketing agency with more than 100 marketers and creatives. The figure is company-reported. xDNA Group material reproduced by CB Insights says that, following its investment in Aligned, the group had more than 200 marketing and technology specialists. That figure refers to xDNA Group, not to Aligned alone.

The same material describes Dilate as xDNA Group’s Oceanic Partner and says xDNA brought brand, application and software-development capabilities. Together, these statements explain the strategic fit the companies presented: combining agency marketing and creative work with a broader set of technology and brand capabilities. They do not establish that all those services were integrated or offered under one brand after the acquisition.

What the announcement says about the deal’s rationale

Dilate founder and director Bodie Czeladka linked the decision to an established relationship with Aligned founder Hursh Dodhia Shah and a perceived fit in values and team culture. Dilate director Tom Parker framed the broader strategy as bringing diverse talent and services together to offer comprehensive client solutions. Shah described joining Dilate as a way to pursue more growth opportunities for Aligned’s team and clients.

These comments convey the companies’ stated rationale, rather than independently measured benefits. The announcement provides no acquisition valuation, revenue figures, client counts or evidence showing whether the combined capabilities produced specific client or financial outcomes.
