Corsair acquired Fanatec’s sim-racing brand, product line and associated personnel from Endor AG in an asset purchase that closed on September 19, 2024, according to Corsair’s SEC filing. Corsair announced the completed deal publicly on September 23. The move expanded Corsair’s sim-racing portfolio from chassis products into Fanatec’s force-feedback wheelbases, steering wheels, pedals, shifters and accessories.
What Corsair acquired—and when
Corsair announced a definitive agreement on September 16, 2024, to acquire the Fanatec Sim Racing brand and associated personnel from Endor AG. The transaction was an asset purchase, and Corsair said it did not disclose the financial terms. Corsair’s SEC filing dates the closing to September 19; its public announcement that the deal had closed was issued September 23. Corsair’s agreement announcement, SEC filing and closing announcement.
Those dates refer to different events: September 19 is the closing date reported in the filing, while September 23 is the date of the press release. The approximately $110 million in Fanatec product sales reported for 2023 is not the acquisition price.
Why Fanatec fit Corsair’s portfolio
Before the acquisition, Corsair had begun building a sim-racing presence with chassis products. Fanatec added a broader set of racing controls: force-feedback wheelbases and steering wheels, pedals, shifters and other accessories for PlayStation, Xbox and PC-based simulators. That breadth gave Corsair a way to extend its existing chassis and connect sim racing with its wider gaming-PC, peripheral, streaming and monitor business.

Corsair presented the combination as a step toward an end-to-end premium sim-racing offering. That is the company’s strategic rationale, not independent evidence that the portfolio or integration would succeed. In its May 8, 2024 announcement, CEO Andy Paul said: “Fanatec is an incredible brand with a strong community, and we believe CORSAIR is the ideal home for Fanatec’s loyal customers, employees and business partners.” The quote reflects Paul’s view during the negotiation period, not a measure of later customer experience.
What Corsair’s figures do—and don’t—show
In its September 23, 2024 announcement, Corsair reported approximately $110 million in Fanatec product sales for 2023, attributing the figure to Endor AG and describing it as unaudited. Corsair also cited industry reports estimating a roughly $1 billion sim-racing components market and 20 percent expected annual growth. Those market figures are estimates cited by Corsair, not audited company results or guaranteed future growth. Corsair’s figures and attribution.

What has happened since the acquisition
Integration status
Corsair’s full-year 2024 results said Fanatec integration was going well. That is a dated management assessment; it does not establish that integration is complete or describe its operational status as of October 8, 2026. Corsair’s 2024 results.

Formula 1 partnership
In 2026, Corsair announced a new multi-year global licensing partnership between Fanatec and Formula 1, including new officially licensed products. Corsair also said Fanatec continues as an official sponsor of the F1 Sim Racing World Championship. The announcement confirms the partnership, but it does not identify specific new products, their availability or their prices. Corsair’s 2026 announcement.
Will Corsair develop sim-racing products under its own name?
The acquisition supports a portfolio strategy in which Corsair’s chassis products sit alongside Fanatec’s racing controls. But the available announcements do not establish a definitive current brand architecture or say whether Corsair will continue developing sim-racing products under its own name. It is more precise to say that Corsair acquired Fanatec to broaden its sim-racing offering than to claim that all future products will use one brand.

What the deal means for people building a sim-racing setup
Fanatec’s wheelbases, steering wheels, pedals and shifters are distinct components, and the acquisition announcement does not mean every component works with every platform or with every other product. Anyone choosing a setup should check the current compatibility and included components for the specific models under consideration. A wheelbase’s platform support, included steering wheel or pedals, and upgrade path matter more than the brand ownership alone.
