Robert Lewandowski tops the available 2024/25 Champions League wage estimates: FBref’s table, using data attributed to Capology, lists him at €640,962 a week, ahead of Kylian Mbappé at €600,962. These are provider-attributed estimates, not salaries confirmed by UEFA or the clubs. The available sources do not establish a complete, consistently ranked top 30, so the figures below should not be treated as a verified 30-player league table.
Highest-paid players in the available 2024/25 estimates
FBref’s 2024–25 Champions League wage table attributes its data to Capology. Its indexed entries show these two players at the top:
| Rank in the indexed table | Player | Estimated weekly wage | Estimated annual wage | Source and qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Robert Lewandowski | €640,962 | €33,330,000 | FBref, 2024/25 Champions League wage table; data via Capology. Provider-attributed estimate, not club-confirmed pay. |
| 2 | Kylian Mbappé | €600,962 | €31,250,000 | FBref, 2024/25 Champions League wage table; data via Capology. Provider-attributed estimate, not club-confirmed pay. |
The figures are shown in euros as reported by FBref. The available table excerpt does not establish whether these amounts are gross or net, whether bonuses are included, or whether each player’s estimate is individually verified. They should not be compared with another list as though both used the same wage definition.
Why this is not a verified top-30 ranking
The sources available for this topic do not substantiate all 30 positions. FBref’s indexed material exposes the leading two names; a separate November 2024 article gives ten players in pounds. It does not supply a consistent, fully supported top 30. Filling the other places would mean presenting unsupported ranks as fact.

Capology describes a wage as verified when it is provided directly by a club, agent or intermediary, or confirmed by at least two sources, according to its support material. That is the provider’s verification rule; it does not mean every number in a table is verified or officially disclosed by a club.
A separate November 2024 list uses pounds
Sports Digest published a different list on November 7, 2024. Its reported weekly figures for five prominent players were:
Rank #2
- adidas Unisex Adult Ucl League
| Player | Reported weekly figure | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Robert Lewandowski | £538,104 | Sports Digest, November 7, 2024 |
| Kylian Mbappé | £504,523 | |
| Harry Kane | £403,619 | |
| Kevin De Bruyne | £400,000 | |
| Erling Haaland | £375,000 |
That article also names David Alaba, Dušan Vlahović, Mohamed Salah, Manuel Neuer and Jude Bellingham. Its pound-denominated numbers differ from the euro amounts in FBref’s Capology-attributed table. The sources do not establish a shared exchange-rate date, publication snapshot, or wage definition, so the lists should remain separate rather than be converted and merged into one ranking.
How to compare football wage estimates
A weekly figure can look precise while still being difficult to compare. Before treating two estimates as evidence that one player earns more, check whether both sources use the same:
Rank #3
- Performance football ball with FIFA-inspected quality.
- 100% TPU (100% recycled)
- Film coated
- Machine-stitched construction
- Snapshot date: contracts and estimates can change, and the November 2024 list is not the same snapshot as a season table.
- Currency and conversion basis: the cited lists use pounds and euros, and no common exchange-rate date is established.
- Pay period: compare weekly with weekly or annual with annual; do not assume a displayed annual figure is a simple multiplication of the weekly amount.
- Gross or net treatment: the cited material does not resolve this consistently.
- Included compensation: the sources do not establish a consistent treatment of bonuses.
- Verification status: a provider’s stated verification standard is not proof that every listed estimate meets it.
UEFA club payments are not player salaries
UEFA’s March 22, 2024 circular outlines the 2024/25 club revenue-distribution plan. It projected a €18.62 million league-phase allocation for each qualifying club, alongside performance-related payments. That is competition revenue paid to clubs—not a wage figure paid to an individual player. The circular therefore provides financial context for the competition but cannot verify a player-salary ranking: UEFA’s 2024/25 club revenue-distribution circular.
