Reported work in China
A 2023 Yahoo Entertainment article says Silva worked in China as chairman of MaisonWorleyParsons. Distractify describes Maison Worley Parsons as an international engineering, procurement and construction-management company and says Silva’s LinkedIn profile listed him as chairman. Reported roles at National Oilwell Varco
Yahoo Entertainment also reports that Silva previously held several positions at National Oilwell Varco in Houston, including international sales management, capital-valves area management and area director. The article says he cofounded Eleventh Entertainment, but it does not provide independent documentation of that business history.
Has Mike Silva retired?
A profile published October 19, 2025, says Silva announced his retirement during Darcey & Stacey so he could spend more time with family. It quotes him saying, “The best part about being a grandfather is to be around for the little things.” This is the latest reviewed report about his work status, not proof that he has had no employment since. Swooon’s report attributes the retirement announcement and sentiment to his appearance on the show.
Did he invest in Darcey and Stacey’s business?
A TV Insider recap of a 2020 episode says Silva had invested in House of Eleven. In the episode’s discussion of a proposed expansion, he said, “I will be supporting them as much as I can, but I will not be investing.” The comment describes that particular conversation; it does not establish his current finances or whether he provides financial support today.
