There is no reliable, comparable current net-worth ranking for the 15 richest male tennis players. The latest figures support a narrower answer: Forbes estimated Roger Federer’s wealth at $952.4 million on August 11, 2026, while the ATP’s official career prize-money table ranks Novak Djokovic first, followed by Rafael Nadal, Federer and Andy Murray. Those are different measures, so neither can substantiate a top-15 net-worth list.
Why a reliable top-15 net-worth list is unavailable
A ranking requires comparable estimates for all 15 players, made at roughly the same time and using a consistent method. The available sources do not provide that dataset. Combining figures from celebrity-wealth websites or reports with different dates and methods would create an appearance of precision without a sound basis.
Private net worth is not the same as publicly reported income. It depends on assets and liabilities that may not be fully public, including investments, property, business interests, taxes, spending and debt. A published figure should therefore be treated as an estimate, not an audited account of a player’s finances.
Federer’s estimate shows why dates matter
Forbes estimated Federer’s wealth at about $1.1 billion in March 2026, in connection with its 2026 billionaires list. On August 11, 2026, Forbes put the figure at $952.4 million after shares in On Holding, the listed sneaker company, fell sharply. The later figure is the more recent estimate found here; it is still Forbes’ estimate, not a verified statement of Federer’s complete assets and liabilities. Forbes’ August 11 report and the ATP’s March 2026 report document the change.
#1 Best Overall
- Wilson Federer Adult Recreational Tennis Racket - Grip Size 3 - 4 3/8", Red/White/Black
- AirLite Alloy construction creates lightweight frame with power and durability
- Power Strings feature longer mainstrings for greater power
- Stop Shock Pads reduce racket vibrations for improved feel
- Lightweight, midplus head provides greater degree of racket maneuverability with enlarged sweet spot
The movement illustrates a broader point: an estimate can change when the market value of a major holding changes, even if a player’s career prize-money total does not. A wealth estimate needs both its publisher and its date to be meaningful.
What the official ATP prize-money ranking says
The ATP’s 2025 season-end career prize-money leaderboard, published in its 2026 Media Guide, offers a verifiable comparison of gross on-court tournament prize money. Its first four players are:
Rank #2
- COMPLETE TENNIS SET: Includes 27-inch adult rackets, pressureless tennis balls, spare overgrips, and portable carry bag. Everything you need to start playing immediately
- THICKENED ALUMINUM CONSTRUCTION: Crafted from High-Grade Aviation Aluminum. Unlike standard thin-frame rackets that warp easily, our Thickened Frame offers superior durability and resistance to deformation while remaining lightweight
- LIGHTWEIGHT AGILITY (260g): Weighing only ~260g, it prevents arm fatigue. The lightweight design helps beginners master their swing mechanics easily without soreness
- REINFORCED JOINT STABILITY: Features a specialized Triangular Y-Joint connecting the frame and shaft. This reinforced structure absorbs shock and provides a stable, solid feel on every hit
- PERFECT GIFT CHOICE: Available in Pink, Black, and Blue. An ideal starter kit for couples, families, students, and beginners for birthdays or holidays
| Rank | Player | Career prize money |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Novak Djokovic | $191,252,375 |
| 2 | Rafael Nadal | $134,946,100 |
| 3 | Roger Federer | $130,594,339 |
| 4 | Andy Murray | $64,687,542 |
These are ATP career prize-money totals at the end of the 2025 season, not estimates of current wealth. The figures cover tournament prize money on court; they do not capture a player’s complete financial picture. See the ATP Media Guide for the published leaderboard.
Prize money, annual earnings and net worth are different
- Career prize money is accumulated gross tournament prize money. It does not subtract taxes, expenses or other costs, and it excludes income and wealth from other sources.
- Annual earnings measure income over a defined period, often combining on-court and off-court sources. Forbes’ highest-paid tennis players ranking uses a rolling earnings period; it is not a measure of accumulated wealth. Forbes Australia’s 2026 ranking describes that distinct measure.
- Net worth is an estimate of assets minus liabilities at a point in time. For a private individual, outside observers may not know every asset, liability or valuation assumption.
Because the measures answer different questions, a high career prize-money total does not establish who has the greatest net worth. Nor does a high-earning year prove that a player has accumulated the largest fortune.

How to read claims about tennis-player wealth
- Check whether the number is net worth, career prize money or earnings over a particular period.
- Look for the publisher and publication date, especially when a player has significant publicly traded investments.
- Do not treat an estimate as audited unless the source establishes that it is.
- Compare rankings only when their definitions, dates and methods are consistent.
On the evidence available, the defensible conclusion is limited: Federer has a recent Forbes wealth estimate, and the ATP provides an official career prize-money comparison led by Djokovic. The evidence does not support naming 15 players in order by current net worth.
