Textiles were Pakistan’s leading export sector in fiscal year 2024–25, which ran from July 2024 through June 2025. Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) figures reported by Associated Press of Pakistan put textile exports at $17,887.038 million, up 7.39% from $16,655.899 million in FY 2023–24. This is a full-year result for FY 2024–25, not the latest completed fiscal-year total as of October 2026.
How much did Pakistan export in textiles in FY 2024–25?

For context, the Government of Pakistan reported total exports of $31.75 billion in FY 2024–25, versus $30.76 billion in FY 2023–24. Dividing the reported textile total by the reported overall total gives an approximate 56% share; this is an editorial calculation from separately reported figures, not a directly published share, and category definitions or revisions may affect comparability. Which textile exports grew the most?
The reported figures show growth in several major finished-goods categories, while cotton yarn and raw cotton fell. Values and year-over-year changes below are the PBS-attributed figures published by Associated Press of Pakistan. These are selected categories, not a complete accounting of every textile item.

Associated Press of Pakistan’s report of PBS textile statistics identifies knitwear as the largest named category in this selection by export value. The selected lines should not be added together and treated as a complete sector breakdown.
Why do some reports show a different textile export total?
The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) reported $18,941 million for FY 2024–25 under “Textile & Leather,” up 7% from $17,628 million in FY 2023–24. That is a combined reporting group, not a competing textile-only figure: TDAP notes that PBS classifies leather and leather products under manufacturing, while TDAP groups leather with textiles for its internal reporting. TDAP also listed Agro & Food at $7,446 million and Engineering, Manufacturing and Minerals at $5,360 million. Because the group boundaries differ—and leather is included with textiles in TDAP’s grouping—these figures should not be treated as an apples-to-apples PBS sector ranking.
What do the newer figures say?
A later official survey compares July–March FY 2025–26 with July–March FY 2024–25. It reports “textiles and apparel” exports of $13,581.8 million for the newer period, down 0.5% from $13,655.9 million, and total exports of $22,741.7 million versus $24,718.1 million. How to read Pakistan’s export-sector statistics
Export rankings depend on the period and classification being compared. PBS says it publishes export data across four main groups and 46 commodity groups; its external-trade statistics cover trade value, quantity and nature. PBS external-trade FAQ When comparing a headline figure with another report, check whether it covers a full fiscal year or a partial period, whether it is textile-only or combines textiles with leather, and whether the source is presenting sector groups or commodity lines.
The Government of Pakistan’s trade review cites tariff tensions, slowdowns in major markets, price competition and geopolitical uncertainty as global headwinds.
