There is no one Nigerian retailer that is always cheapest. Start with the Samsung Official Store on Jumia, then compare the same phone at Pointek and the Samsung Official Store on Konga. Choose by the final delivered price for the exact configuration, with a verifiable invoice, clear return terms and a warranty you can use in Nigeria—not by the lowest headline figure alone.
Where to check first
For an online purchase, compare the official-store listings on Jumia and Konga with Pointek’s catalogue. A marketplace is not automatically unsafe, but the seller on the individual listing matters: do not assume an independent vendor has the official store’s sourcing or warranty terms.
Samsung Official Store on Jumia
Jumia’s Samsung store page says products are supplied directly by Samsung Nigeria and advertises authenticity and official warranty. It is a useful first stop for visible prices, promotions and a range of Galaxy models. Confirm that the individual listing identifies the Official Store, and check whether a coupon, flash sale or payment method is required for the displayed price. Check Jumia’s Samsung Official Store.
Pointek
Pointek lists Samsung phones online and has physical-store access, which can help if you want to check local stock or collect a phone. Its catalogue also shows bundles on some listings. Compare the phone’s cash price separately from any included gift, and ask whether the stated coverage is Samsung manufacturer warranty or Pointek’s own support. Browse Pointek’s Samsung catalogue.

Samsung Official Store on Konga
Konga’s Samsung brand page promotes an Official Store and says its products are sourced from the manufacturer. It is another useful price and availability check; delivery speed depends on location and listing. Open the product page to verify seller, stock, fulfilment, warranty and return terms rather than relying on the brand page alone. Check Samsung on Konga.
Physical retailers and other sellers
A local shop may be worth a modest premium if it lets you inspect or collect the phone and gives you a clear invoice and return route. Do not treat a retailer as currently Samsung-authorized solely because it sells Samsung devices or appears on an old store list. Confirm current authorization with Samsung or the retailer’s current documentation; Samsung’s service-centre locator and contact page are useful for checking support options.

Informal marketplace and used-phone listings can have lower asking prices, but they are not equivalent to a new Nigerian-market phone with manufacturer warranty. Assess condition, seller identity and coverage separately before considering the saving.

How to compare prices fairly
First write down the exact device you want. A lower price may refer to a different network version, memory, SIM setup, condition or region. For example, Pointek’s observed A36 prices of ₦409,000 and ₦487,000 were for 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations respectively; the difference is not a like-for-like retailer markup.

- Record the model name and number, RAM, storage, 4G or 5G capability, SIM configuration and condition.
- Compare new Nigerian-market stock separately from imported, refurbished, open-box or used devices.
- Add delivery, any required payment fees and the cost of a charger if one is not included in the box.
- Check whether the price depends on a coupon, limited promotion or payment method.
- Compare written warranty coverage, return or replacement period, stock status and included accessories.
- Use the final checkout total. A free accessory is not necessarily a better deal than a lower phone-only price.
Model prices can differ because of storage and RAM, 4G versus 5G, regional variant, SIM configuration, condition, warranty provider, stock age, import costs and promotions. A phone that works on Nigerian networks is not necessarily covered by Nigerian warranty or supported identically.

A new Nigerian-market unit with a valid invoice and Samsung warranty usually offers the clearest route to local after-sales support. An imported phone may be cheaper, but Samsung’s overseas-product guidance says service for phones, tablets and wearables may be limited to the country where the product was first sold; help elsewhere can be discretionary, slower or chargeable. - Samsung manufacturer warranty: Ask whether the specific unit is eligible for Samsung Nigeria/Africa service and what proof establishes coverage.
- Retailer warranty: The seller, not Samsung, defines the repair or replacement promise. Get its duration and terms in writing.
- Imported or regional warranty: Coverage in Nigeria may be limited or delayed; do not infer local coverage from network compatibility.
- Used, open-box or refurbished: Confirm condition, prior activation, repairs, battery condition and return rights. A “new” phone already configured with another person’s account needs an explanation before you accept it.
- No stated warranty: Treat the low upfront price as a higher-risk purchase, not as equivalent to a warranted new phone.
Verify the phone, invoice and warranty
- Before paying: Ask, “Is this covered by Samsung Nigeria/Africa manufacturer warranty, and what document proves it?” Request the warranty provider, duration, return or replacement period and seller contact details in writing.
- At purchase: Obtain a dated invoice or receipt showing the model and, where applicable, serial number and IMEI. Samsung says product details and proof of purchase are required for warranty booking through its authorised service centres; see its warranty information.
- On delivery, before the return window ends: Photograph the package and seal, inspect packaging, and match the model number on the box, phone, invoice and order page. Check that the phone’s IMEI matches the box and documentation. An IMEI match can expose inconsistencies, but alone does not prove authenticity, new condition or warranty eligibility.
- Set up and test: Confirm the phone boots normally and has no previous user account or activation lock. Test the display, cameras, charging, speakers, fingerprint sensor, SIM detection, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, calls and mobile data.
- Keep records: Retain the invoice and packaging until you are satisfied, and contact Samsung through its Nigeria support channels if warranty status is unclear.
Choose by what matters most

Samsung’s Africa Care+ page lists Nigeria repair-fee figures from approximately ₦9,000 to ₦45,000 across certain eligible categories and shows 12-month coverage for the displayed categories. These are page-specific signals, not permanent fees or coverage for every model. Check current eligibility and terms at Samsung Care+.
Red flags that should change your decision
- The listing does not give an exact model number, memory configuration or clear condition.
- The seller cannot explain who provides the warranty or refuses to issue an invoice.
- The phone is far cheaper than comparable established listings and the seller pressures you to pay outside the platform.
- The seller refuses reasonable serial or IMEI checks, or the identifiers do not match.
- The phone arrives already activated or configured with another user’s account.
- “UK-used,” “Dubai” or “foreign-used” appears without a clear account of condition and coverage.
For a fair comparison, check the same configuration at Jumia, Pointek and Konga, then buy the lowest total-cost option whose seller, return terms and Nigerian warranty are clear. If warranty is not local manufacturer coverage, price that risk in rather than treating the listing as an equivalent deal.
