It ran June 23–26, and the October fall event, Prime Big Deal Days, ran October 6–7 and has also ended. As of October 8, 2026, no Prime Day sale is running, so if you saw a “live now” headline, it is either an archived page or refers to a different event.
When Prime Day 2026 started and ended
Amazon announced Prime Day 2026 for June 23–26. The announced start time for the US was 12:01 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on June 23, which is 3:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time. Amazon describes Prime Day as exclusive to Prime members, so the deals were available only to shoppers with an active Prime membership.
Prime Big Deal Days is a separate event
Amazon’s fall shopping event is not Prime Day. Prime Big Deal Days ran October 6–7, 2026, with an announced start of 12:01 a.m. PDT on October 6. Amazon announced it in a September 14, 2026 press release. Articles that mix the two names can make an old headline look current, so check the event name and dates before you act on any deal.
| Event | Season | 2026 dates (US) | Status on October 8, 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prime Day | Summer | June 23–26 | Ended |
| Prime Big Deal Days | Fall | October 6–7 | Ended |
Markets outside the US
Amazon’s June 2026 announcement listed participating markets in Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia. It also said that Australia, Brazil, India, and Japan would get Prime Day deals later in July. The source excerpt did not establish exact dates for every market, so do not assume that every country followed the US June 23–26 schedule. If you shop outside the US, confirm the dates on the Amazon site for your country.

What Amazon said about the event
Amazon Prime vice president Jamil Ghani said in June 2026: “Prime Day is the biggest shopping event of the year exclusively for members, whether they’re looking for deals on the latest electronics, getting ahead on back-to-school shopping, or saving on fresh groceries and household essentials.” Amazon described Prime Day deals across more than 35 categories, including electronics, fashion, beauty, home, kitchen, and groceries. These are Amazon’s own promotional claims. They do not establish that any particular item was discounted or how much a shopper saved.
If you are looking for a deal now
- Do not rely on any page that says a sale is “live now” without a date. Check that the page names Prime Day or Prime Big Deal Days with a 2026 date.
- Go to Amazon’s official Prime Day event page for the current schedule. Amazon announces its events in advance, so the next dates will appear there once they are published.
- Kindle deals and other Amazon device deals were mentioned in Amazon’s event materials. The sources did not confirm a live deal, price, or stock level for any Kindle e-reader or other device, so check the current listing before you buy.
- Prime membership is required for member-exclusive event deals. Confirm the current membership price and terms on Amazon before you sign up.
What is not established
The sources confirm the dates and event details above. They do not establish any current price, seller, inventory, or discount for an individual product, and they do not confirm the dates for Amazon’s next sales event.
