That date has passed; the announcement also included an opening-day giveaway and launch-period hours, not a confirmation of current trading details.
When was the Mandurah Starbucks opening?
A May 30, 2025 report by Rachel Fenner in the Mandurah Times, published by PerthNow, announced June 5, 2025 as the opening date for the Pinjarra Road store. Read the original report for the announcement and launch details.
What was planned for opening day?
The report said the first 200 customers through the doors from 5am on June 5 would receive a free 16oz reusable Cold Cup. This was a one-day opening promotion, not an offer confirmed to be available now.
What did the report say about the store?
The Mandurah café was described as a 250sqm site with a drive-through. The report mentioned flat whites and seasonal treats, but it does not establish the store’s current menu.

What were the reported opening-period hours?
The article listed Monday to Friday, 6am–10pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 6am–8pm. Those were hours reported around the launch; current opening hours were not verified, so check a current official Starbucks listing before making a trip.
What was the local reaction?
Some social media users raised concerns about traffic. The report noted the store’s proximity to Mandurah Forum and two sets of traffic lights as context. It did not report a measured traffic impact, so the concern should not be read as evidence of actual congestion caused by the café.

What was the store’s place in Starbucks’ WA expansion?
At the time of the May 2025 report, the Mandurah location was described as Starbucks’ fifth in Western Australia, following stores in Piara Waters, Murdoch, Clarkson and Ellenbrook; another WA opening was also planned for that June. These are historical details, not a current store count.
The article also reported that Piara Waters customers queued from 4:30am and relayed Starbucks’ claim that its opening surpassed Hong Kong Disneyland as the largest Starbucks store opening ever in Asia Pacific. That comparison was attributed to Starbucks, not independently verified by the article.
