What the warm-up included
Amazon described the 6–16 November event as a broad selection spanning categories such as computing, food and drink, beauty, books, fashion, and pet supplies. Its announcement named brands including Apple, Lenovo, Samsonite, Johnnie Walker, Pedigree, Huggies, Maybelline, and Oster.
The advertised discounts were maximums on selected offers, not reductions guaranteed across every product in a category:
- Up to 50% off books and eBooks, and up to 50% off DVDs and Blu-rays.
- Up to 30% off food and drink, beauty, computing, smart-home products, and tools and construction products.
- Up to 25% off toys and games, baby products, pet supplies, fashion, and home products.
These ceilings reflect Amazon’s 6 November campaign announcement; they are not an independent audit of item prices or proof that a particular product was discounted by the maximum.

How the main sale differed
The warm-up ended on 16 November; Semana Black Friday began the next day and continued through 27 November. Amazon’s 17 November guide listed examples such as up to 42% off Echo devices, Fire TV devices from R$199, 20% off Kindle devices, and up to 40% off Kindle covers. It also pointed to deals in smartphones, computing, kitchen appliances, toys, and household goods. These were historical advertised offers, not current prices.
Amazon’s 16 November announcement said discounts in the main sale could reach up to 70% in its early days and up to 80% on 24–25 November. Both figures are advertised maximums, not blanket savings.
What the dates and discounts can—and cannot—tell you
The schedule establishes when Amazon ran each 2023 campaign phase; it does not show which phase offered the lowest price for a particular product. The official announcements give sale claims and examples, but not a complete product-by-product price history or independent discount comparison. A claim that the warm-up was cheaper—or more expensive—than Black Friday week is therefore not established by these materials.
Amazon’s retrospective, published 1 December 2023, called the event its largest Black Friday in Brazil to that point and reported 60% growth over its 2022 event. Amazon also listed 15 best-selling products, including Echo Pop and Echo Dot 5ª geração. Amazon’s 6 November release described daily deal updates, personalized deal notifications for eligible products in lists, the cart, or saved for later, and payment options that included cards, boleto, Pix, and Livelo points. These describe the promotion as announced in 2023, not present-day features or payment terms.
Amazon’s 17 November guide said that “grande parte” (most or a large part) of items purchased from 1 November through 31 December 2023 could be returned through 31 January 2024. That wording did not promise the extended window for every purchase; it should not be treated as a current return policy.
