GlobalAir labels $78 million as the 2024 list price, while Business Jet Traveler lists $81 million as its 2024 price. Neither figure is verified here as a manufacturer-confirmed quote or an amount a customer actually paid.
What the two 2024 price references say
| Publisher | Published figure | What the source establishes |
|---|---|---|
| GlobalAir | $78 million | Its aircraft information page labels this the “2024 List Price.” |
| Business Jet Traveler | $81 million | Its 2024 aircraft guide lists this as the Global 8000’s 2024 price; the pricing basis is not specified. |
The sources do not explain the $3 million difference, so it would be misleading to treat either number as a settled, universally applicable price. The evidence available does not establish whether the guide’s $81 million figure reflects a particular equipment configuration or another pricing basis.
Do these figures show what a buyer paid?
No. They are published price references, not documented customer transactions. The available sources do not include a 2024 Bombardier price announcement, a customer invoice, or evidence of a negotiated sale amount. An actual buyer’s costs and final price therefore cannot be inferred from either listing.
GlobalAir also provides general ownership and operating-cost information, but those estimates are separate from the aircraft’s acquisition price. They should not be added to, or confused with, the $78 million list-price figure.

What Bombardier said about the aircraft in 2024
On October 21, 2024, Bombardier announced that manufacturing of major structural components for the first production Global 8000 was underway. The announcement also described an upgrade available for purchase by existing Global 7500 clients through Bombardier service centres, in anticipation of the Global 8000’s planned entry into service. It did not state an upgrade price or provide full eligibility terms.
This production and upgrade information provides context for the 2024 price references, but does not verify either figure as a transaction price. In a 2025 quarterly report, Bombardier said the Global 8000 remained under development and was expected to enter service in 2025. The report cautioned that specifications and data were approximate, subject to change without notice, and dependent on operating rules, assumptions, and other conditions; that later statement is not evidence of a 2024 sale.

How the earlier $78 million figure fits
AOPA reported in 2022 that Bombardier had attributed a planned $78 million cost to the Global 8000, $3 million above the Global 7500 at the time. That historical figure aligns with GlobalAir’s 2024 listing, but it does not resolve the conflicting $81 million entry or establish a 2024 customer price.
