Under the revised process, eligible U.S. customers do not have to file a claim or reply to a notice to receive a payment; payments are automatic. This guide covers that settlement only—other Amazon settlements can have different eligibility rules and deadlines.
Check whether you meet the current eligibility rules
The FTC says you may qualify only if all three conditions below apply:

- You were an Amazon Prime customer in the United States.
- Between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025, you signed up through one of the enrollment flows challenged by the FTC, or you tried to cancel through Amazon’s online cancellation flow but could not complete it.
- After enrolling, you used no more than 20 Prime benefits in any 12-month period. Free Prime Music and Prime Video products count as benefits.

What to do if you haven’t gotten a notice or claims form
- Compare your history with the criteria above. The FTC’s public guidance explains the rules but does not offer an individualized eligibility lookup for people without a notice.
- Ask the settlement administrator about your situation. The FTC directs consumers to Amazon’s administrator: email [email protected], visit SubscriptionMembershipSettlement.com, or call 1-888-999-8094. Eligibility can depend on Amazon’s business records, so the administrator is the route for a case-specific answer.
- If you receive a payment, follow its instructions promptly. An issued payment expires 60 days after its issue date. Contact the administrator about a payment that is missing, expired, or incorrect.
The FTC’s consumer advice about Amazon Prime refunds addresses both “I haven’t gotten a notice or claims form” and “I should have gotten a payment, but I didn’t. How do I get one?”

How much could a payment be, and when should it arrive?
Under the revised order, payments may total up to $200 per eligible customer. The first round was capped at $51; the revised order permits up to $149 in additional payments. The maximum is not guaranteed: the amount depends on the settlement rules and your circumstances.
The FTC says eligible customers should receive refunds by April 2027, by mailed check or electronically through PayPal or Venmo. It announced that additional automatic payments began October 1, 2026, for consumers who used 11–20 Prime benefits in a 12-month period and had not already received a settlement payment. The order also allows for a possible additional round for some people who accepted an earlier payment if the required fund threshold is not met. Why older articles may describe different rules
The settlement process changed. Earlier coverage may refer to a claim form and a 10-benefit cap; those are not the current instructions for the revised automatic-payment process. The FTC’s September 2026 revised court order and current refund page describe the updated terms. Use the current FTC guidance rather than submitting a claim based on outdated instructions.
Watch out for refund scams
The FTC says it is not contacting consumers about these refunds. The FTC will not demand payment, threaten you, tell you to transfer money, or promise a prize, and Amazon will not ask you to pay to receive a refund. Do not pay a fee or share personal information with someone who promises special access or a guaranteed payment. Use the administrator contact details listed on the FTC refund page.
