First find the transaction hash (TxID) and check it on the blockchain explorer for the network actually used. That separates an unsubmitted or still-pending transfer from a confirmed transaction waiting for the recipient to credit it. A confirmed transfer can still be blocked by unsupported networks, confirmation thresholds, account checks, a missing memo, or withdrawal locks. Wrong-network and wrong-address transfers cannot be assumed reversible; contact the receiving provider’s official support with complete transaction evidence.
Start by separating the three stages
Wallet and exchange labels describe different events. “Pending” in the sending app may mean the transaction has not been broadcast, is waiting for network confirmations, or was rejected or interrupted. “Confirmed” on an explorer means the network recorded the transaction; it does not prove that the receiving exchange has credited your account or made the funds withdrawable.

Do not send a replacement transaction merely because the first one is slow. Establish the original transaction’s state first; there is no single safe replacement procedure for every stablecoin, network, wallet, and exchange combination.

1. Get the transaction hash and inspect it
Find the TxID
- Open the sending wallet or exchange and go to its withdrawal, send, or transfer history.
- Open the specific stablecoin transfer and copy the transaction hash, also called a TxID. If no hash exists, ask the sender whether the platform actually submitted the transfer.
- Identify the network selected for that withdrawal. A stablecoin can exist on several networks, and the explorer must match the network used.
Coinbase’s send-and-receive troubleshooting guidance advises obtaining the transaction hash and checking confirmations. OKX likewise directs users to search the transaction ID or address on the corresponding explorer in its deposit-progress instructions.

Compare the explorer record with your intended deposit
On the network’s explorer, verify all of the following:
- Transaction status: pending, confirmed, failed, or rejected.
- Confirmation count and whether it is increasing.
- Token contract or asset name, not just the ticker symbol.
- Transferred amount, including whether a fee reduced what arrived.
- Destination address, character by character, against the receiving platform’s deposit address.
- Network name, such as the exact chain selected for the send and the chain supported by the deposit screen.
A transaction hash proves that a record exists; it does not by itself prove that the destination account can use the funds. Save the explorer link and a screenshot showing the status and confirmations for any support request.
2. If the transfer is still pending
Why pending can happen
Pending transfers can be delayed by network congestion, a fee that is too low for current conditions, a temporary service interruption, loss of synchronization, or a transaction that the sending service rejected. Circle lists congestion, temporary interruptions, and destination-provider issues among causes of delayed USDC bridge transfers. The applicable wait depends on the chain and the service; no universal stablecoin waiting time exists.

Coinbase’s support pages illustrate why provider figures must be treated narrowly: one current Coinbase example says most transactions in its send-troubleshooting flow complete within 30 minutes, while its exchange example shows a two-confirmation requirement for BTC. Neither figure is a guarantee for every stablecoin or network. Follow the timing and status instructions for the specific service involved.

What to do while confirmations progress
- Keep the explorer page or transaction details open and note whether confirmations increase.
- Check the sending provider’s status page and any in-app alert requesting an action, fee adjustment, or identity review.
- Confirm that the receiving service supports the asset and network; a technically valid transaction can still be ignored when the deposit route is unsupported.
- Wait while the transaction is progressing. Do not create a second transfer until the first one is classified as failed or the provider gives you a documented recovery or replacement procedure.
If confirmations stop advancing, the explorer marks the transaction failed, or the provider reports a rejection, contact the sender first. Explain that you need the broadcast status and the precise failure reason, not merely a new estimate.
3. If the explorer says confirmed but your balance is missing
Check the exact asset, network, and address
Open the receiving platform’s deposit page for the same stablecoin and compare its supported network list with the network shown in the explorer. Check that the destination address is the platform’s current address for that asset and network. Some services generate different addresses by asset or network, and a matching-looking address is not enough if the chain is wrong.
Review the receiving account for a deposit notice, identity-verification request, risk hold, or maintenance message. OKX’s deposit troubleshooting article directs users to examine the network, address, TxID, and confirmation progress. Coinbase similarly advises checking supported networks and account alerts in its troubleshooting guidance.
Understand crediting versus withdrawal availability
Platforms can apply separate thresholds:

OKX distinguishes confirmations needed to credit a deposit from those needed to unlock withdrawals in its article updated September 14, 2026: How do I check my deposit progress?. Kraken describes a “Credited” stage in its cryptocurrency deposit-status article, last updated May 5, 2026, where funds may be usable for trading before withdrawals are enabled: Cryptocurrency deposit statuses. These are provider examples, not universal labels or thresholds.

Coinbase states in its account-processing guidance that, after requested account actions are completed, crypto receives should be credited within three to five business days. That is a Coinbase-specific estimate, not a promise about another exchange or a blockchain’s settlement time.
4. If you used the wrong network
A stablecoin transfer sent on a network the recipient does not support may be visible on-chain yet absent from the receiving account. Do not assume that changing a wallet display setting will recover it, and do not send another transfer to “cancel” the first: a confirmed blockchain transaction cannot simply be reversed by the sender.
- Record the TxID, asset and amount, source network, destination network, destination address, and transfer time.
- Use the recipient platform’s official help center or in-account support channel. Ask whether that exact asset and network combination is recoverable under its policy.
- Follow only the provider’s documented submission process and keep the case number.
Coinbase says it cannot recover funds in the wrong-network case described in its support material, while OKX warns that recovery is not guaranteed. Policies differ by service and by asset, so neither outcome should be generalized. Never pay an unverified “recovery agent” or give anyone your seed phrase or private key.
5. If the address was wrong
Address errors are more serious than a display or confirmation delay. If the explorer confirms delivery to an address you did not intend, identify who controls that address if you can and contact the receiving provider immediately. A self-custody wallet generally cannot reverse a confirmed transfer, and an exchange may be unable or unwilling to retrieve assets sent to an address outside its control.

Provide the complete transaction record rather than only a screenshot: TxID, token, amount, network, source and destination addresses, date and time, and the sending and receiving services. Do not attempt repeated sends to the mistaken address or disclose wallet credentials while seeking help.

Some networks and exchanges use a memo, destination tag, payment ID, or similar field to associate a shared deposit address with the correct customer account. The blockchain transaction can therefore be confirmed while the platform cannot automatically identify the account.
- Open the receiving service’s deposit instructions for the exact asset and network and verify whether a memo or tag was required.
- Check the explorer record to see whether a memo or tag was included and whether it matches the instruction.
- Submit the provider’s missing-memo or deposit-recovery form through official support, attaching the TxID and requested evidence.
OKX identifies missing memos as one reason a deposit may not arrive and recommends opening a support ticket in its deposit troubleshooting guidance. Support may be able to credit the deposit, but no provider guarantee should be assumed.

- Open the transaction link on the source or destination explorer.
- Watch whether confirmations are increasing. Circle’s guidance says, “If confirmations are increasing, wait and check again.”
- If the delay exceeds the expected time for the destination chain, contact Circle Customer Care.
Circle asks for the transaction hash, wallet provider and version, source and destination networks, transfer date and time, amount, and device and browser details. Its instructions are specific to the Circle USDC Bridge and do not establish a waiting-time guarantee for other bridges or services: My transfer is delayed – USDC Bridge.
What to send support
Prepare one concise case file before contacting the receiving provider:
- Transaction hash or TxID and the explorer URL.
- Stablecoin name, token contract when relevant, and exact amount.
- Source and destination networks.
- Destination address and any memo, tag, or payment ID.
- Transfer date and time, including time zone if known.
- Name of the sending service and receiving service.
- Explorer status and confirmation count.
- Screenshots of the sending record and receiving deposit instructions, with unrelated personal data concealed.
- For a bridge case, wallet provider and version plus browser, operating system, and device details.
Support troubleshooting does not require a seed phrase or private key. Anyone requesting either to “release” or “recover” a deposit is asking for credentials that can control your funds.

- No TxID: return to the sender or sending platform and confirm whether the withdrawal was submitted.
- TxID is pending: check confirmations, congestion, provider notices, and supported network; do not resend automatically.
- TxID is confirmed but no credit: verify asset, network, address, confirmation thresholds, account checks, and withdrawal locks.
- Wrong network or address: contact the recipient provider with full evidence; recovery is case-specific and not guaranteed.
- Missing memo or tag: submit the provider’s official recovery ticket with the TxID and matching deposit details.
- Bridge delay: follow that bridge operator’s explorer and support procedure, including its requested technical details.
