Do not submit the same trade again while it is processing. If it failed, identify whether signing failed or a swap encountered an error; only start a new transaction after checking the cause and confirming you have ETH available for gas.
First, check the transaction in the right places
- Open Activity in Robinhood Wallet. Find the transaction and note its displayed status and transaction ID, if shown. If you cannot find it in the wallet, do not assume it never reached the network.
- Check the Robinhood Chain explorer. Search using the transaction ID or your wallet address. Robinhood says its explorer can also search by block or token. Compare the explorer’s record with the wallet’s Activity entry to see whether the network has recorded the transaction and what status it currently reports.
- Keep the account types separate. A self-custody Robinhood Chain transaction is not tracked by the Robinhood brokerage or Robinhood Crypto account screen. Robinhood describes Robinhood Chain as independent of those accounts, so those screens are not the status source for a Chain transaction.
Robinhood identifies Blockscout as the Robinhood Chain explorer. The network is an Ethereum-compatible Layer-2, uses ETH for gas, and has chain ID 4663. Most Robinhood Wallet users do not need to configure a network manually; these details are useful if you are checking the network in an EVM-compatible wallet or confirming that you are looking at the right chain.

How to compare what you see
If Activity provides a transaction ID, use that exact identifier in Blockscout rather than relying only on a similar-looking transfer or token entry. A transaction ID points you to a particular network transaction; a wallet address can help you review activity associated with that address. Robinhood’s explorer also supports searches by block or token, which can be useful if those are the details you have. Make sure you are checking Robinhood Chain, not a different network with an unrelated record.

When the wallet and explorer appear to disagree, note both statuses and the time you checked them. The app’s label and the explorer record are separate views of the activity, so avoid making a second transaction just to test which one is current. If the mismatch persists or you cannot locate the activity, send the transaction ID or wallet address and both displayed statuses to wallet support.

If the transaction is pending or unconfirmed
A pending status does not by itself establish that a transaction has failed. Robinhood’s Wallet FAQ says, “Transactions may be pending or unconfirmed because of the volume of transactions, confirmation speed, and transaction size for that network.” Temporary delays in network delivery can also leave an action processing.
There is no universal completion-time estimate in Robinhood’s cited guidance. Timing depends on network conditions and transaction characteristics, so do not rely on a fixed number of minutes or assume that a transaction is stuck solely because it has not completed within a particular interval. Use Activity and the explorer to check for a status change.
- While it still shows processing, do not repeat the trade. Robinhood’s troubleshooting advice is: “Do not attempt to re-submit the same trade while it is processing.” Sending it again can create a second transaction rather than resolve the first one.
- Do not treat buying ETH as a way to clear a pending transaction. ETH is the gas currency for Robinhood Chain, but adding ETH does not establish that an existing pending transaction will complete or cancel.
- Keep the transaction details available. If the status does not resolve and you need help, the transaction ID and wallet address help support identify the network activity.
For a Robinhood Chain transaction pending or unconfirmed, the useful distinction is whether it remains processing or the wallet has changed the status to failed. A delay can reflect network volume, confirmation speed, or transaction size; Robinhood does not give a single deadline that applies to every transaction. Check again in Activity and the explorer rather than interpreting the passage of a particular amount of time as proof that the transaction failed.

First confirm what happened to the original entry. If the explorer shows the original transaction while Activity still says pending, retain the transaction details and seek support if needed instead of submitting a duplicate.
If the transaction failed
“Failed” can describe different problems. The action may have failed while being signed on your device, or a swap may have failed in the decentralized exchange path. The next step depends on what kind of action you attempted and what the wallet or explorer shows.

Signing failed on the device
Robinhood says loss of device connectivity or an internal wallet error can cause a signing failure. Check that the device has a working network connection, then retry the action if the wallet shows it failed rather than still processing. These are possible causes, not a complete list of every signing failure.
Keep the status distinction clear: Robinhood’s instruction to retry after checking connectivity applies to a signing failure, not to an action that is still processing. If connectivity was interrupted, first confirm the wallet is online, then review the Activity entry again. If it remains failed, you can retry the action; if it still shows processing, do not resubmit it.
A swap failed
Robinhood’s Wallet FAQ identifies a decentralized exchange error as one possible reason for a failed swap. A failed swap is not necessarily the same issue as a failed transfer or a device signing problem. Check the specific Activity record and explorer result before trying the swap again. Robinhood’s guidance does not establish one universal cause or promise that retrying will succeed.
When investigating a failed swap, note that it was a swap when you contact support, rather than describing every failed action as a transfer. The transaction type helps distinguish a possible decentralized exchange error from a signing problem. The official guidance does not identify one particular exchange error message as the cause in every case, so use the error displayed in the app and avoid assuming a cause that the status does not confirm.
A new transaction needs gas
Robinhood Chain transactions use ETH for gas. If you decide a new transaction is appropriate, make sure the wallet has sufficient ETH available to pay the network fee. ETH held in a Robinhood brokerage or Crypto account is separate from the self-custody wallet balance; do not assume those balances are interchangeable or that an account balance pays a Chain fee automatically.

Gas is relevant when you are preparing a new transaction. It is not a remedy for a transaction that is already pending, and adding ETH does not guarantee that a failed swap will work on retry. Check the wallet balance and transaction status independently before proceeding.

Search the explorer with the wallet address or transaction ID where available. Robinhood says the explorer also supports searches by block or token. A missing entry in the wallet’s Activity view is not enough by itself to establish whether the transaction was submitted, recorded on the network, or sent using the intended network.
If you do not have a transaction ID, start with the wallet address and check whether the explorer shows the relevant activity. If you still cannot identify it, contact wallet support with the address, the approximate action you took, and the status shown in the app. Do not guess at a transaction ID or send another transfer simply to see whether it appears.
To find a transaction ID, start with the transaction’s Activity entry in Robinhood Wallet; record the ID if the entry displays one. Use it to look up the transaction in Blockscout. If the wallet entry is absent or does not give you an ID, the wallet address is another supported way to search the explorer. The explorer can also search by block or token, but do not substitute a guessed identifier for the actual transaction details.
If you are using another EVM-compatible wallet to inspect the network, Robinhood’s developer network setup documentation identifies Robinhood Chain by chain ID 4663, and Robinhood identifies Blockscout as its explorer. These details help distinguish the intended network from another EVM network. They are not a reason for most Robinhood Wallet users to change settings or configure a network manually.

Transfers to the wrong address or network need special care
A transfer sent to an incorrect address or an incompatible network may be unrecoverable. Verify the destination address and network shown for the transaction before taking further action. If the explorer confirms that the transfer was sent to a wrong destination or network, do not assume that Robinhood can reverse it; contact support to ask what, if anything, can be done.
This is different from a pending transaction that has not yet resolved. Do not repeat a transfer to “correct” a destination until you understand the original transaction’s status and the recipient details. A second transfer may send additional funds without recovering the first one.
Before contacting support about a suspected misdirected transfer, gather the transaction ID, the network shown, and the wallet address involved. Explain whether you believe the destination address or the network was incorrect. This information can help support identify what the explorer records, but it cannot guarantee recovery. Avoid sending additional funds to the same destination as a test.

Robinhood lists [email protected] for self-custody wallet issues. For account-specific questions, Robinhood directs users to in-app support. When contacting support, include enough information to identify the transaction without exposing wallet credentials.
- Transaction ID, if available
- Network: Robinhood Chain
- Wallet address involved
- Current status shown in Activity and the explorer
- Whether the action was a transfer, swap, or another type of transaction
- A screenshot of the status or error, if available
Never share your secret recovery phrase or private key with support or anyone claiming to help. Those credentials can grant control of the wallet; they are not needed to investigate a transaction ID or a displayed status.

For a self-custody wallet problem, use the wallet support contact Robinhood lists. If your question is about your brokerage or Robinhood Crypto account rather than the wallet transaction itself, use in-app support as Robinhood directs. Include the specific error text when possible, but keep the message limited to transaction-identifying information and never include a recovery phrase or private key.
