The “Trump Card Visa” showing up in U.S. immigration paperwork is the Trump Gold Card program, and its petition form is Form I-140G, Immigrant Petition for the Gold Card Program. USCIS says applicants must first register at TrumpCard.gov and receive confirmation that the registration was accepted, then file I-140G through a USCIS online account. The form makes the program an operational process; it does not mean that paying the fees or making a gift automatically grants a visa or green card.

What Form I-140G is—and what it is not

USCIS identifies Form I-140G as the immigrant petition for the Gold Card program. Its listed edition is November 19, 2025, and USCIS says the page was last reviewed December 10, 2025. The Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs’ active collection record, approved with change on September 11, 2026, describes the petition as a request for an available employment-based immigrant visa under EB-1 or EB-2.

That is a petition within an immigration process, not the visa itself. A filed petition, a payment, or a gift is not by itself a grant of lawful permanent residence. The official program site says outcomes depend on eligibility, admissibility, agency determinations and visa availability. USCIS Form I-140G instructions and the official Gold Card site provide the current process and program terms.

How the described application process works

  1. Register first: Submit information through TrumpCard.gov and wait for confirmation that the registration was accepted. USCIS says accepted registration is required before filing I-140G.
  2. File the USCIS petition online: Upload Form I-140G through a USCIS online account. USCIS states, “Form I-140G can only be filed through your USCIS online account; it cannot be mailed as a paper-based form.”
  3. Complete the separate visa-application stage if directed: The State Department’s DS-260G collection record describes an immigrant-visa application after USCIS approves I-140G, including detailed background information for security vetting. Follow current agency instructions at that point; the collection record is not a substitute for case-specific instructions.

The White House announced Executive Order 14351 on September 19, 2025. The order directed Commerce, State and Homeland Security to establish processes for petitions, visa issuance, adjustment of status and fees, subject to applicable law and public-safety and national-security concerns. The order describes a gift as a basis for eligibility to use an expedited immigrant-visa process; it does not eliminate the other requirements or agency decisions. Read the Executive Order 14351 for its stated framework.

How much the Gold Card costs

The petition fee and the program gift are separate charges. USCIS lists a nonrefundable $15,000 Department of Homeland Security processing fee per person, including the principal beneficiary and applicable spouse or children. The official program site describes an additional gift after vetting. Other State Department visa and medical examination fees may also apply.

Route or stage Amount described What the amount represents
USCIS I-140G petition $15,000 per person Nonrefundable DHS processing fee listed by USCIS; applies to the principal beneficiary and applicable spouse or children.
Individual Gold Card route $1 million Gift described by the official program site after vetting. Executive Order 14351 also sets a $1 million individual gift.
Corporate-sponsored employee $2 million per employee Gift described by the official program site after vetting. Executive Order 14351 sets a $2 million corporate gift made for an individual.

The official program site also describes corporate maintenance and transfer fees, but the figures are not specified here. Confirm all current amounts and payment instructions with USCIS and the program site before acting; do not treat the petition fee as covering the gift or other government charges.

What approval does—and does not—promise

The official site describes a successful case as a route to permanent residence through EB-1 or EB-2, but only where the person is eligible for lawful permanent residence and admissible, and subject to agency determinations and visa availability. The form’s existence shows that a petition and application framework has been established; it is not evidence that every applicant qualifies or that an immigrant visa is immediately available.

There are no verified approval rates, completed-case totals or measured average processing times in the cited government records. OIRA estimates 1,592 annual responses, 7,960 burden hours and $819,880 in annual cost burden for the I-140G information collection; those are administrative estimates, not counts of issued visas or successful cases. The State Department’s DS-260G collection record estimates 5,000 annual responses and 775,000 burden hours, likewise not verified case outcomes. See the OIRA I-140G collection record and State Department DS-260G collection record.

Gold Card and Platinum Card are not interchangeable

The Gold Card has a published USCIS form and an official program process. The official website says the Platinum Card has not yet been released. Any promised Platinum features should therefore be treated as proposals or site claims, not as currently available immigration status or tax benefits.

Before deciding whether to apply

  • Use the current USCIS and State Department instructions, since fees, forms, filing steps and visa availability can change.
  • Keep the $15,000-per-person petition fee distinct from the separately described gift and any visa or medical examination charges.
  • Do not assume that registration acceptance, filing, payment or a gift guarantees an approval or an available visa.
  • If you are considering an EB-1 or EB-2 case, consult a qualified U.S. immigration attorney about eligibility, admissibility and your individual circumstances.
