TechCrunch announced Lovable co-founder and CEO Anton Osika as a speaker at Disrupt 2025, with a planned discussion about Lovable and the future of consumer tech. Its preview highlighted the startup’s reported growth and financing, but it does not establish what Osika ultimately said on stage.

What was announced about Osika’s Disrupt appearance?

In a September 17, 2025 announcement, TechCrunch Events named Osika, Lovable’s co-founder and CEO, as a Disrupt 2025 speaker. The planned conversation was framed around Lovable and the future of consumer technology, including rapid scaling, investor pressure, product focus and consumer-facing software.

The announcement listed Disrupt for October 27–29, 2025, at Moscone West in San Francisco. Those were the event dates as scheduled in the preview; the announcement alone does not confirm that this session took place as planned or document its contents. No direct remarks from Osika on the Disrupt stage are established here.

What does Lovable do?

TechCrunch described Lovable as a service for creating apps and websites by talking to AI. The announcement characterized the company’s mission as helping people who cannot code turn ideas into software.

In a separate company-hosted interview, Lovable presented Osika describing the product as “your personal AI software engineer” that turns a described idea into a working product. That interview is distinct from the Disrupt appearance and should not be read as a transcript of the event.

What growth and funding did TechCrunch report?

The September 2025 preview said Lovable reached $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in under a year. This is a figure reported by TechCrunch in its event announcement, not an independently audited result established by the sources cited here. ARR is a recurring-revenue run rate, not the same as revenue already recognized over a year.

Announcement claim What it describes
$100 million ARR in under a year Growth milestone attributed to Lovable by TechCrunch Events in its September 17, 2025 preview; not independently verified here.
$200 million Series A at a $1.8 billion valuation A completed financing reported by TechCrunch, led by Accel.
Investor offers implying a valuation toward $4 billion Unsolicited offers reported by TechCrunch; offers are not a completed financing or a confirmed company valuation.

The same TechCrunch announcement reported the $200 million Series A and a $1.8 billion valuation, and separately mentioned unsolicited investor offers said to imply a valuation toward $4 billion. The latter is investor interest as reported in the preview—not evidence that Lovable raised money at that higher valuation.

How do the earlier growth claims fit?

A separate Lovable-hosted interview includes claims in the interviewer’s framing of $4 million ARR in the first four weeks and $10 million ARR in two months with a team of 15. The interview’s publication date is not established on the retrieved page. These earlier claims come from a different source and context than TechCrunch’s later announcement; they should not be combined into a single audited growth timeline.

What the announcement does—and does not—tell readers

For readers following the business side of AI software, the preview is evidence of how TechCrunch framed Lovable’s growth, funding and consumer-tech ambitions ahead of its conference. It is not a record of the session itself. In particular, it does not establish Osika’s on-stage views about product strategy or investor pressure, nor whether the announced discussion covered each planned theme.
