Those are historical accounts, not a verified list of what he owns today. Later reporting associates a Gulfstream G550 with an aircraft linked to Cuban, but does not establish his complete current fleet.
What aircraft has Mark Cuban owned or used?
In a 2010 interview with Business Jet Traveler, Cuban described buying a Gulfstream V, owning a Boeing 757 for the Mavericks, and owning a Boeing 767 that was rented for high-end charter. The roles matter: the Gulfstream was described as his personal and business travel aircraft; the 757 served the basketball team; and the 767 was part of a charter operation. Cuban’s interview and MLW Air’s company history provide the historical basis for those accounts.
| Aircraft | Reported role | What the sources establish |
|---|---|---|
| Gulfstream V | Personal, family, and business travel | Cuban’s firsthand 2010 interview recounts buying it in 1999. |
| Boeing 757 | Dallas Mavericks team travel | Cuban described the team’s needs in the 2010 interview; MLW Air’s company history describes the purchase and refurbishment. |
| Boeing 767-200 | High-end charter | Cuban said in 2010 that he owned a 767 rented for charter; MLW Air describes the group’s later acquisition and refurbishment of a 767-200 for all-first-class charter. |
The Gulfstream V: Cuban’s personal and business aircraft
Cuban said he researched Gulfstream aircraft online, spoke with pilots about what they would want to fly, and arranged a demonstration flight for his pilot before deciding. He described the purchase as an online transaction: after receiving banking instructions, he wired the money. The interview recounts a 1999 purchase and attributes a $40 million price to it; that figure is the interview’s report, not an independently verified current valuation.
He portrayed the Gulfstream’s value in practical terms: traveling comfortably with family, reaching meetings, getting work done while traveling, and returning home for family events. His explanation focused on time and flexibility rather than aircraft performance specifications.

The Mavericks’ Boeing 757: built around an NBA road schedule
Cuban said he wanted the team aircraft to accommodate players taller than seven feet and support the demands of travel and preparation. He described room for meetings, coaching resources, video, connectivity, and basic treatment of physical problems. MLW Air’s company history independently describes the Mavericks’ 757 project, including its purchase and refurbishment.
This was a team-transport use case, not simply an extension of Cuban’s personal Gulfstream travel. The sources describe the aircraft’s purpose and project history but do not establish who owns or operates the 757 now.

The Boeing 767: a charter aircraft, not necessarily a personal jet
Cuban said the 767 was rented out for high-end charter. MLW Air says the group behind the Mavericks 757 project later acquired and refurbished a Boeing 767-200 as an all-first-class charter aircraft. Together, those accounts place the 767 in a charter-business context; they do not show that it was Cuban’s regular personal travel jet.

AeroCorner’s October 1, 2026 article associates registration N718MC with a Gulfstream G550 and says the original Gulfstream V later flew under a different registration. That is a later secondary attribution, distinct from Cuban’s firsthand account of buying a Gulfstream V. The sources available do not include a current firsthand confirmation from Cuban or establish a complete present-day inventory. AeroCorner’s report should therefore be read as an aircraft attribution, not proof of every aircraft Cuban currently owns.

The Mavericks’ ownership history does not resolve the 757’s status, either. The Associated Press reported that the NBA approved Cuban’s sale of a controlling interest in the team in December 2023; that change alone does not establish the plane’s present ownership or operation. The AP report covers the team transaction, not the aircraft’s disposition.
