Announced February 26, 2025, it is a professional-services relationship—not a separate software product or a general-purpose managed security platform.
What the Ingram Micro–Alvaka offering is
Alvaka announced a strategic professional-services alliance with Ingram Micro, a global technology distributor. Under the arrangement described in the announcement, Alvaka provides prioritized access to its ransomware remediation and recovery services for Ingram Micro channel partners and their clients in the United States. Alvaka’s February 26, 2025 release describes the intended audience and access.
Ingram Micro’s Adam Bellows described the relationship as giving customers a direct line to emergency response services. That is the companies’ stated purpose; the announcement does not publish independent outcome data or establish that every partner or client automatically qualifies.

Alvaka advertises 24/7 live support. The public descriptions do not set out specific response-time guarantees, contractual scope, pricing, or eligibility requirements. Partners should confirm these details directly before relying on the service for an incident plan. Alvaka’s Ingram Micro information page
What the announcement does not establish
The alliance release does not describe a bundled software product, a standalone managed security platform, or a guarantee that an organization will avoid an attack or recover its data. It also does not say that paying a ransom ensures restoration. The arrangement is access to a response provider; it should be evaluated alongside an organization’s own backups, incident procedures, insurance terms, and legal advice.

How to interpret Alvaka’s recovery-time claim
Alvaka says its recovery work can help clients recover five days faster than an industry average. That is the provider’s advertised claim; the cited page does not supply an independent comparative study or methodology to validate the figure. Treat it as a claim to question during vendor evaluation, not as a promised recovery time. Alvaka’s Ingram Micro information page
Why the announcement cites ransom-payment data
Sophos reported a $2 million median ransom payment in 2024, up from $400,000 in 2023, among organizations that paid. The figures came from 1,097 respondents in Sophos’s 2024 State of Ransomware survey—not from every organization affected by ransomware and not a forecast of what an individual victim will pay. The wider survey included 5,000 IT and cybersecurity leaders in 14 countries, representing organizations with 100 to 5,000 employees across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. Those bounds matter: the survey provides context on reported payments, not a universal estimate of losses or a guarantee of the financial impact for any particular business.
