What were Hero.io’s TOKEN2049 side events about?
A September 15, 2024 announcement said Hero.io planned the program in collaboration with Apta AI at OGBC Innovation Hub in Singapore. The announced sessions were “AI for the People: Empowering Web3 Economy,” “Investing in the Age of AI Boom: Opportunities for Web3,” and “Cambridge University AI Research for Web3.” ZEX PR WIRE’s announcement described topics spanning AI use in Web3, investment opportunities, and research.
The event listing for “Cambridge University AI Research for Web3” names Hero.io as presenter, places the event at OGBC Innovation Hub, and marks it as past. It describes a Hero AI Search demo and talks on AI-driven crypto analysis, technical diligence of AI companies, crypto search, and investment NLP. The Luma listing names speakers including Shirom Chabra and Vatsal Raina of Apta AI and Brandon Crosbie of Hero.io.
What does “Cambridge AI experts” mean here?
The Cambridge reference in the event title and materials points to research and speakers described as having Cambridge research backgrounds. The announcement and listing identify Apta AI as a Cambridge-based company, but they do not establish that the University of Cambridge officially hosted, sponsored, or endorsed the events. Treat the institutional connection as event-material framing rather than university endorsement.
What was demonstrated, and what is independently established?
The listing says attendees could see a Hero AI Search demonstration. Hero.io’s later recap also says the event included a Hero AI Search demo and presentations from Hero.io and Apta AI. Its description of a “full house” is the organizer’s own characterization, not an independently verified attendance figure. Hero.io’s recap is a promotional account; it does not independently establish product performance or event outcomes.

How does this relate to TOKEN2049 in 2026?
The 2024 program is separate from the current conference edition. TOKEN2049’s FAQ says the 2026 Singapore conference is scheduled for October 7–8, with TOKEN2049 Week running October 5–11 and including independently hosted side events.
