After Million Dollar Listing New York, Ryan Serhant built a business around his name: he launched the SERHANT. brokerage in September 2020, starred in Netflix’s Owning Manhattan, and expanded into books and sales education. Netflix’s coverage says Season 2 of Owning Manhattan began streaming on December 5, 2025.
What did Ryan Serhant do after Million Dollar Listing New York?
Serhant turned his television visibility into a broader real-estate and media business. He founded SERHANT., a brokerage that combines residential sales with content, technology, and education, then became the central figure in Netflix’s Owning Manhattan, which follows him and agents at his firm. He has also published books and developed sales training through SellIt.

Serhant has said that Million Dollar Listing New York helped him get access to prospective clients, but that he still had to close deals as a salesperson. That distinction matters: the show provided exposure, while his brokerage and sales work became the foundation of his business. HousingWire’s September 2024 interview attributes that account to Serhant.

His career after the Bravo series, in brief
| Period | What happened |
|---|---|
| September 2020 | Serhant launched SERHANT., according to his official biography. |
| June 2024 | Netflix announced Owning Manhattan, a series about Serhant and agents competing for luxury listings. Netflix’s announcement describes the first season’s focus. |
| December 5, 2025 | Netflix said all eight episodes of Season 2 began streaming that day. Its coverage also describes listings beyond New York, including Miami. Netflix Tudum’s Season 2 coverage includes those details. |
What is SERHANT.?
SERHANT. is Serhant’s real-estate brokerage and broader business, rather than simply a television production. His official biography says the company spans brokerage, content, technology, and education. It describes the brokerage as operating in 14 states and Washington, D.C., with nearly 1,500 agents and nearly 200 full-time employees; these are company-published figures on the current biography page, not independently audited totals. The same page reports more than $15 billion in career sales, a promotional career figure that should be understood as the company’s own claim.
#1 Best Overall
Serhant has also described growth in the cast of agents featured across the Netflix seasons: Netflix quoted him in December 2025 as saying Season 1 had roughly 300 agents and Season 2 had more than 1,000. Those are his attributed figures about the show’s brokerage context, not an independent count. Netflix Tudum also quotes him calling the season “an emotional and physical roller coaster.”
How Owning Manhattan differs from Million Dollar Listing New York
The shows share a New York real-estate setting, but they have different platforms and focuses. Million Dollar Listing New York was a Bravo series featuring multiple brokers; Bravo’s series page notes Serhant’s move to open his own brokerage and become its CEO. Owning Manhattan is a Netflix series centered on Serhant and agents at his own firm. The format and focus are supported by the networks’ descriptions, but they do not establish that one show caused the other to end.

Nor do the sources establish a definitive reason Million Dollar Listing New York ended, or show that Serhant personally quit or was dismissed. His subsequent career is clearer than the circumstances behind the Bravo show’s conclusion. Bravo’s official series page provides the series context, while Netflix’s announcement describes the later program.
Books and sales education
Serhant’s business also includes publishing and sales training. His official biography lists three books and says he created a sales course and education platform called SellIt. For a reader who wants a book-length introduction to his selling approach, Sell It Like Serhant: How to Sell More, Earn More, and Become the Ultimate Sales Machine is the most directly relevant title listed there. It is a sales resource, not a companion to either television series. Serhant’s biography describes the books and education platform.
