Bloober said Take-Two’s licenses expired, the studio retained the project’s rights, and it was continuing development under a self-publishing model at that time. The filing did not rule out a future publisher.
What was Project C?
Project C was the name Bloober Team used for an unannounced game it was developing with Private Division, Take-Two Interactive’s publishing label. Take-Two announced the partnership on December 14, 2022, describing the game as a new survival-horror intellectual property in early development. The announcement said there was no release date and that the game was not expected before calendar 2025; that was an expectation made in 2022, not a current release window. Take-Two’s announcement
On April 28, 2024, Insider Gaming reported that a translated Bloober financial report referred to the game as Project C. The article described the project as well advanced and anticipated a reveal later that year. That was a forecast in the 2024 report, not confirmation that a reveal occurred. Insider Gaming’s report
When did Bloober Team and Take-Two part ways?
Bloober Team disclosed the end of the agreement in a regulatory filing published August 7, 2024. The filing said Take-Two had terminated the production and publishing agreement signed on September 29, 2021, and that the companies concluded an agreement to end their cooperation on August 5, 2024. - Compatible with Windows and Android.
- 1000Hz Polling Rate (for 2.4G and wired connection)
- Hall Effect joysticks and Hall triggers. Wear-resistant metal joystick rings.
- Extra R4/L4 bumpers. Custom button mapping without using software. Turbo function.
- Refined bumpers and D-pad. Light but tactile.
The filing is the later official status update and supersedes the impression that the 2022 publishing partnership remained active. The original announcement named Private Division as the publishing partner; the 2024 filing described the agreement and its termination as involving Take-Two.
Who owns Project C’s rights now?
In its August 2024 filing, Bloober said the licenses granted to Take-Two for Project C had expired and that Bloober held all rights to the project, including its intellectual property and marketing materials. This is Bloober’s stated position as of the filing date; the reviewed sources do not provide a newer rights update.

Was Project C canceled or given a new publisher?
The filing did not say the game was canceled. Bloober said it was continuing development according to its planned production and marketing schedule under a self-publishing model, while not excluding the possibility of working with a new publisher. Those statements describe the plan at the time of the August 2024 filing; they do not establish the project’s present development or publishing status.
Bloober Team’s official news index has entries through October 5, 2026, but the visible entries do not confirm Project C’s current consumer title, platform, release date, or publisher. That absence of confirmation is not evidence that the project has been canceled or is inactive. Bloober Team’s official news index

What the companies said when the deal was announced
In Take-Two’s December 2022 announcement, Michael Worosz, then Take-Two Interactive’s Chief Strategy Officer and head of Private Division, said the label sought to support developers’ creative ambitions. Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno described the project as a new survival-horror game and said the studio aimed to become a leader in the horror industry. These quotes reflect the announcement-era partnership, not the later status of the deal. Take-Two’s announcement
