Rogan’s historical comments about paying comics for particular shows and reported estimates of his Spotify deal are separate matters—not evidence of employee pay.
Are Joe Rogan’s staff salaries public?
No current salary, pay range, or total payroll for the Joe Rogan Experience (JRE) staff is established by the available sources. That includes a verified figure for producer Jamie Vernon: the fact that people ask how much he makes is not evidence of his compensation.
Without an attributable disclosure from Rogan, an employee, or a reliable report, claims about a specific staff member’s salary or the team’s total payroll should be treated as speculation. The sources also do not establish a current staff roster or headcount, so they cannot support a payroll estimate.
What has Rogan said about paying people for shows?
A transcript of JRE episode 211 records Rogan discussing payments to comedy hosts or comics in particular show circumstances. He says, “The only time I ever really pay somebody is if I know for these shows.” Read the episode transcript.

That is a historical comment in a conversation about show-specific arrangements. It does not disclose current staff salaries or establish a present-day compensation policy for JRE employees.
Does Rogan’s Spotify deal tell us what his staff earns?
No. A platform partnership is a deal involving Rogan and Spotify, not a disclosed staff-pay figure. In February 2022, The Washington Post described Rogan as receiving millions from Spotify for an exclusive broadcast arrangement. That description does not identify staff compensation. Read the report.

In February 2024, the Associated Press reported that The Wall Street Journal estimated Rogan’s new multiyear Spotify deal at up to $250 million. AP said Spotify declined to comment on the financial details. The figure is an attributed estimate of Rogan’s partnership, not a confirmed staff payroll or salary budget. Read AP’s report.

When a post or article names a salary, check what the figure actually describes before treating it as a fact:

- Who receives the money? An amount attributed to Rogan is not an employee’s compensation.
- What kind of payment is it? A partnership, a payment for a particular show, and an employee salary are different arrangements.
- Is the claim attributed? A credible report should identify its source and distinguish a confirmed amount from an estimate.
- Does the evidence cover current pay? A historical conversation cannot establish today’s salaries or policy.
A transcript of a separate discussion about CEO pay and workplace compensation does not disclose JRE staff salaries either. Read that episode transcript.
