P.O. Box 247001, Omaha, NE 68124-7001 is not tied to one company. Public listings connect it to more than one financial-services mailing context, so an address lookup can suggest where a letter might come from, but it cannot confirm who actually sent it.
What the available sources show
Three sources mention this address. They differ in how much they prove, and the table below separates what each one documents from what it only suggests.
| Source | What it lists | What it establishes | What it does not establish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Money Network-hosted activation packet for a California Employment Development Department (EDD) debit card | “PO Box 247001, Omaha, NE 68124-7001” printed in the packet | The address was used in a card-services mailing tied to an EDD debit card, and the packet names a banking institution | Exclusive ownership of the box, or any statement about other letters sent to it |
| Better Business Bureau profile for CNH Industrial Capital | The same address in the business’s profile | The address is listed for this business in the BBB profile | Verified accuracy. BBB states that it does not verify third-party information in business profiles |
| Third-party address guide (a Branch Locator article) | An attribution of the address to Capital One | That the guide made this attribution | Confirmation. The author did not contact the companies to verify the details |
The EDD packet is the strongest of the three because it is a document from a card program that used the address in a mailing. Even so, it documents one use, not the only one. The BBB listing is a directory entry, and the Capital One attribution is an unverified claim, so neither should be treated as proof of ownership.
Why one mailing address can appear under several names
Card programs, lenders, and servicers often share mail-handling addresses, and a single box can receive correspondence for more than one brand or vendor. That is a plausible explanation for the pattern here. The sources reviewed do not document the contractual arrangement behind any of these listings, so the overlap should be read as a reason for caution, not as a map of who owns what.

How to identify the sender of a specific letter
Use the letter itself, then check it against accounts you already hold. The address is only one clue.
- Read the organization name in the letterhead and signature block. A return address alone does not name the sender.
- Match the account details. Look for a product name, the last four digits of an account or card, or a reference number, and compare them with what you actually have.
- Verify contact details independently. Find the phone number or website from your card, your statement, or the organization’s official site. Do not rely on numbers printed only in the letter.
- Check your account directly. Sign in through your own bookmark or banking app, not a link in the letter, and look for the notice, card, or charge.
- Contact your bank or card issuer if nothing matches. Ask them to confirm whether the mailing or card is theirs or a program they administer.
Warning signs that call for more caution
- The letter asks for a full Social Security number, a complete card number, a PIN, or a password.
- It demands immediate payment or threatens account closure within a short deadline.
- It names a company you have no account with, or a debit card you never requested.
- It claims a government connection but gives a phone number or website that differs from the agency’s official site.
If you receive an EDD debit card you did not request, confirm it through EDD’s official website before you activate it or share any information.

What to do if you still cannot match the letter
Keep the envelope and every enclosure, note the date you received it, and report it to your bank or card issuer. If the letter involved personal information, review your bank and card statements for unfamiliar activity and check your credit reports from the three nationwide consumer reporting agencies. Changing passwords on accounts that may be affected is a reasonable precaution while you sort it out.
A specific letter is best judged by its contents and your own accounts. The address shows that the same post office box appears in more than one financial-services context, which is useful to know, but it cannot settle who sent any particular piece of mail.
