Flipkart Plus is a loyalty program with no membership fee. It rewards shopping with SuperCoins, sale and bank-offer access, milestone gifts, and, since July 2026, a monthly Netflix Mobile Plan for members who meet an order threshold. Flipkart Black is a paid annual membership that bundles one year of YouTube Premium, SuperCoins cashback, member-only deals, travel booking perks, early sale access, and priority support.
Flipkart Plus: what the program pays out
SuperCoin earning
Flipkart’s June 17, 2025 Plus announcement describes the program as charging no membership fee. Its Plus guide sets the earning rates: Silver members earn 1 SuperCoin per ₹100 spent on eligible purchases, and Gold members earn 2 per ₹100. Two limits apply. Earning is capped at 50 SuperCoins per calendar month and 15 per order. Credits are issued after the order’s return period closes, so rewards from an order arrive only once that window has passed.

Redeeming SuperCoins
- Value: one SuperCoin equals ₹1 in savings, according to the June 2025 announcement.
- Standard eligible products: up to 5% of the price can be paid with SuperCoins, to a maximum of 100 SuperCoins per unit, per the Plus guide.
- Flipkart Minutes: the guide states a different cap of up to 2% and 100 SuperCoins per transaction.
- Product terms: product-specific conditions can apply on top of these figures.
Early sale access, bank offers and Treats
Plus members get early access to major Flipkart events and special bank offers. After shopping milestones, they receive post-order Treats such as gift cards and coupons. The June 2025 announcement does not list the milestone amounts, so check the Treats section of your Plus page for your own thresholds.
Netflix Mobile Plan (announced July 31, 2026)
Flipkart and Netflix announced that Plus members can earn a Netflix Mobile Plan for 30 days after four qualifying orders of ₹299 or more in a calendar month. Qualifying orders can be placed across Flipkart, Flipkart Minutes and Flipkart Grocery. The plan unlocks after the fourth qualifying order and is activated in the Flipkart app with no separate payment. Because it is earned month by month, you must repeat the qualifying shopping each month to keep it. The announcement does not describe it as a permanent subscription.

According to the same announcement, shoppers who are not already Plus members qualify automatically after 15 orders in 12 months, at no extra cost.
Plus tier thresholds: Flipkart’s sources differ
Flipkart’s own materials give two different thresholds for Silver and Gold status. The June 2025 announcement says 10 transactions in 12 months for Silver and 20 for Gold. The Plus guide, first published in 2023 and recently crawled with current-looking benefit text, says 15 successful transactions in 365 days for Silver and 25 for Gold, and repeats those figures in its FAQ. The sources reviewed do not reconcile the two, so treat the Plus page in your app as the authority for your own status.

Flipkart Black: what the membership bundles
Flipkart announced Black on August 25, 2025 as the successor to its earlier VIP subscription. The launch announcement gave a ₹1,499 annual price and a ₹990 early-bird offer valid through the first month of launch. That ₹990 offer has expired and should not be used as a current price.
Price and renewal
Flipkart’s September 2025 Black guide states an annual fee of ₹1,499. The 12-month Black membership listing, checked on October 8, 2026, showed ₹1,490 and describes a renewable membership. That is a price observed on one date, not a guaranteed national rate, so confirm the price and renewal terms shown for your account before paying.

YouTube Premium
Black includes complimentary one-year YouTube Premium access, which the guide says is valid for the duration of the Black membership. The materials reviewed do not give a price for this benefit, so its value depends on whether you would otherwise pay for YouTube Premium.
SuperCoins cashback, Black Deals and sale access

Hotel offer and priority support
The Black store page advertises a minimum 10% extra discount pre-applied to top Cleartrip hotel bookings, along with promotional access to selected electronics. These are Flipkart’s offer claims. The hotel discount applies to top hotels as a minimum, not as a saving on every booking. Black also includes dedicated priority customer support.
The Black store page lists FAQ topics on price, validity, renewal, cancellation and refunds, benefits, support, and existing Plus membership. The answers were not visible in the version reviewed. Refund terms and how an existing Plus member would move to Black are therefore not established here, so read the membership terms in the app before you buy.

Working out whether Plus or Black pays you
No independent study compares the cash value of the two programs, so the test below uses Flipkart’s stated terms and your own spending.
- Open the Plus and Black pages in your Flipkart app and note the price and terms your account shows. The published figures above may not match your offer.
- Estimate your typical monthly Flipkart spend on eligible purchases and how many orders you place. Apply the Plus monthly and per-order caps from the earning section before counting any rewards.
- Calculate Black cashback as 5% of each purchase, up to ₹100 per purchase.
- Subtract the ₹1,499 fee, or the price your account shows, from the Black cashback you expect to earn and redeem.
- Add only the Black extras you would really use: a YouTube Premium subscription you would otherwise pay for, travel bookings on Cleartrip or Flipkart Travel, Black Deals you intended to buy, and sale or bank offers you would have used anyway.
A worked example shows the scale. An order of ₹1,000 earns a Silver member 10 SuperCoins and a Gold member 15 (Gold’s rate of 20 is cut to the 15-per-order cap). The same order earns Black cashback of ₹50 at 5%. At that order size, about 30 such orders in a year cover the ₹1,499 fee on cashback alone. Above ₹2,000 per order, the ₹100 cap limits cashback, so high-value buyers need more orders to break even. This assumes every SuperCoin is credited and redeemed in full. Black’s redemption rules are not stated in the materials reviewed, and whether Plus-style earnings also stack with Black is not established either.
What the evidence does and does not establish
- Established: the program terms Flipkart and Netflix published on the dates given above, including the June 2025 Plus announcement, the 2025 Black launch and guide, and the July 31, 2026 Netflix announcement.
- Not established: independent measurement of what either program is worth to a typical shopper, or whether Flipkart’s Plus thresholds of 10/20 or 15/25 apply to any given account.
- Not established: Black refund terms, whether an existing Plus member can convert to Black, and whether the ₹1,490 listing price applies to every account.
- Not established: the cash price of the YouTube Premium benefit and whether Black SuperCoins follow the same redemption limits as Plus.
The quotation from Flipkart’s loyalty leadership in the August 2025 launch describes program intent. It is not evidence that every member will realize a particular monetary value.
Common questions answered by the terms above
If the Plus page in your app shows a different threshold from the one in the guide, the app page governs your status. If you are weighing Black only for the travel perk, compare the ₹1 cancellation and rescheduling terms with the fare rules of the specific booking before paying the fee.
The Bottom Line
Plus is the sensible starting point if you want shopping rewards, sale access and a monthly Netflix chance without paying anything. Black suits people who will use its YouTube Premium, travel and Black-only deals, or who spend enough on Flipkart that the cashback alone justifies the fee. Confirm the price and terms in your own app before paying.
