How to check the 2026 Madhyamik result online
The result was declared on 8 May 2026. Two official sites were named for result access: wbbse.wb.gov.in and wbresults.nic.in. Both are government portals, so use the address exactly as written rather than a search-engine ad or a third-party copy.

- Open wbresults.nic.in or wbbse.wb.gov.in in a browser.
- Look for a link or banner labelled with the Madhyamik 2026 result. Labels change from year to year, so follow whichever link is current on the homepage.
- Enter your roll number and date of birth exactly as they appear on your admit card.
- Submit the form and wait for the result page to load.
- Save or print the page, or take a screenshot, for your own reference.
The exact screens on the live site may differ from this sequence. If a field asks for something other than roll number and date of birth, follow the on-screen instruction and check the official page again.
Online result versus original marksheet
NIC, which hosts the results service, states that results published online are for immediate information to examinees and cannot be treated as original mark sheets. The printed marksheet is distributed through schools. Keep this distinction in mind when you need proof of result for admissions, scholarships, or job applications.

- A saved screenshot or printout of the online result is a reference copy, not a substitute for the school-issued marksheet.
- Collect the original marksheet from your school. Confirm the collection date and process with the school office.
- If the school copy shows a discrepancy with the online result, raise it with the school and then with the board, using your roll number as the reference.
2026 candidate figures
The board’s 2026 result summary reports the following figures for regular candidates. The category matters, because these numbers do not cover every type of candidate.
- Registered regular candidates: 909,430
- Regular candidates who appeared: 901,724
- Successful regular candidates: 782,970
Dividing successful candidates by those who appeared gives a pass share of about 86.8 percent. This is a calculation from the board’s figures, not a separate figure published by the board.
If the result page no longer loads
NIC states that results are retained online for 90 days after publication. For a result declared on 8 May 2026, that window would have closed around early August 2026. If you are checking now, the online link may no longer show the result, and that does not mean the result was withdrawn.
- Contact your school first. Schools hold the official records and usually receive the original marksheets.
- Check the WBBSE website for notices about certificates, duplicate marksheets, or record requests.
- Keep your admit card, roll number, and any saved copy of the result when you contact the school or board.
