This is a historical recruitment update, not a new result announcement.
Where to check the WBPSC MVI 2019 notices
- Open the official WBPSC Interview / Personality Test listings.
- Find the entries for Motor Vehicles Inspector (Non-Technical), Advertisement No. 1/2019. Check the advertisement number and the notice title and date before relying on a result PDF or a copied list.
- Distinguish the preliminary written-test result from later interview notices. The listing records a provisional interview shortlist dated 3 February 2020 and an interview schedule dated 5 February 2020.
The WBPSC records verify the official listing route, but a stable direct PDF link for the specific preliminary-result notice is not established here. Use the Commission listing rather than assuming a third-party direct link is current.
What “PST result” means in this recruitment
The status report for Advertisement No. 1/2019 describes the stage as the “Preliminary Written Test” and marks its result as published. The retrieved WBPSC records do not establish “PST” as the Commission’s official name for this result. The notice’s own title and advertisement number are the reliable identifiers.
What happened after the preliminary result
- 3 February 2020: WBPSC listed a provisional interview shortlist for 74 Motor Vehicles Inspector (Non-Technical) posts under Advertisement No. 1/2019.
- 5 February 2020: the Commission listed the interview schedule for that recruitment.
- 14 January 2021: WBPSC listed recommendations for 74 posts under Advertisement No. 1/2019.
- 15 January 2021: the Commission listed category-wise cutoff marks for recommended candidates.
These dated milestones show that the recruitment process belongs to 2019–2021; they should not be read as current deadlines or a fresh selection notice.

Do not confuse Advertisement No. 1/2019 with 32/2019

Its schedule, interview notices and candidate records are separate from the 1/2019 process. When checking a list, confirm that it says Advertisement No. 1/2019 before treating it as the result or follow-up for the recruitment covered here.
