That cycle is now over, so this guide is a record of how the process worked, not a live application page. Below are the dates, the paper combinations and the rank outcomes they produced, the fee schedule, and the points that caused applicants the most trouble.
Status of the 2025 cycle
The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) runs the examination. Its year-specific WBJEE 2025 page states that the examination had been conducted and that web-based counselling for 2025–26 admissions followed. Any registration for a later cycle will have its own dates, so check the Board’s current notices rather than the 2025 figures in this article.
Key dates for the 2025 cycle
| Event | Date or time (2025) | Status as described in the Board bulletin |
|---|---|---|
| Registration window opens | January 22 | Start date given in the announcement for this cycle |
| Paper I (Mathematics) | April 27, 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | Tentative; subject to change in extraordinary circumstances |
| Paper II (Physics and Chemistry) | April 27, 2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. | Tentative; subject to change in extraordinary circumstances |
| Registration closing date | Not stated in the bulletin text reviewed for this guide | Confirm against a dated Board notice for 2025 |
The January 22 date is the start of the registration window, not a deadline. Because the bulletin text used for this guide did not give a closing date, no end date is shown here.
Which papers to take, and what each combination could lead to
The main decision in WBJEE is which papers to sit for. The bulletin ties rank eligibility to paper choice:
#1 Best Overall
- 16 PAGES OF EXAM MATH - 8 double-sided color-coded cards covering commission calculations and splits, LTV, ownership math, mortgage interest, GRM, GIM, NOI, cap rate, property tax, mill rate, area conversions, prorations, transfer tax, depreciation, cost approach, and seller net sheet forward and reverse.
- EVERY CARD HAS 3 SECTIONS - Core Formulas with clear step-by-step equations, Rapid Mini-Examples so you see exactly how to solve each problem, and Exam Traps that flag the mistakes most test-takers make. Built to help you pass, not just memorize.
- WATERPROOF PVC POCKET SIZE - Each card is 3.9 x 2.8 inches. Fits in your pocket, purse, or study folder. Wipe clean and reuse. Badge reel included so you can clip the set to your lanyard or bag for quick access during study sessions.
- COLOR CODED BY TOPIC - Each calculation category has its own color so you flip to the right card instantly. No hunting through dense paragraphs or tiny font. Updated for 2026 real estate exam prep. Works for any state exam including national, PSI, and Pearson VUE portions.
- GREAT GIFT FOR REAL ESTATE STUDENTS - A practical gift for anyone studying for their real estate license exam. Ideal for new real estate agents, realtors brushing up on math, or real estate exam prep courses. Perfect addition to real estate books and real estate flash cards collections.
| Papers taken | Rank possible | Courses the bulletin links to that rank |
|---|---|---|
| Paper I and Paper II | General Merit Rank (GMR) and Pharmacy Merit Rank (PMR) | Engineering and pharmacy |
| Paper II only | PMR only | Pharmacy, subject to the exception the bulletin states for Jadavpur University pharmacy admission |
| Paper I only | No rank | None |
A candidate who wants engineering consideration therefore needed both papers. Course and institution requirements should be checked in the bulletin and the counselling notices that applied to that cycle, because a rank alone does not decide eligibility for a specific seat.
Exam format
- Mathematics (Paper I): 75 questions, 100 marks.
- Physics and Chemistry (Paper II): 40 questions each, 50 marks per subject.
- Question type: multiple choice with four options, across three question categories.
- Negative marking: differs by category. The bulletin sets the exact rules, so read the category table in the bulletin rather than assuming one penalty applies to all questions.
How the application worked
Applications were online only. The bulletin describes the process in this order:
- Enter primary personal details: name, parents’ names, date of birth, domicile, contact details, and identification information. The bulletin warns that some of these primary details cannot be edited later, so check each one before moving on.
- Enter academic and category-related information.
- Select exam-zone preferences.
- Upload a recent photograph and signature.
- Pay the application fee.
- Download the confirmation page.
The application was complete only when the confirmation page was generated. A candidate who paid but did not get a confirmation page had not finished the process, which is the failure point the bulletin singles out. A correction period applied to eligible non-primary fields; the Board did not entertain changes after that period closed.
Application fees
These are the fees listed in the 2025 bulletin. They are historical figures for that cycle, not current fees.

Rank #3
| Candidate category | Male | Female | Third gender |
|---|---|---|---|
| General | ₹500 | ₹400 | ₹300 |
| SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B, EWS, PwD, TFW (listed categories) | ₹400 | ₹300 | ₹200 |
The bulletin states that fees are non-refundable. For budgeting purposes, treat the fee as a sunk cost once payment is made, and do not pay for a second attempt at an application that has already produced a confirmation page.

- The WBJEEB year-specific WBJEE 2025 page, which links the examination bulletin, registration manual, FAQ, exam rules, rank-card service, and counselling notices.
- The 2025 examination bulletin, which is the authority for eligibility, fees, and paper rules.
- Dated Board notices, which are the only reliable source for any closing date or extension for the 2025 cycle.
The official Board site is the route to all of these documents. Third-party summaries, including this one, can lag behind a corrected notice.
