The available Transfermarkt UK record-arrivals page places Sarr, Gray and Success among Watford’s costliest arrivals. Its alternate record-arrivals view also includes Moussa Sissoko among notable high-fee signings. The records available here do not establish every position, a consistent fee basis, or current status for ten players, so listing ten names in order would imply more certainty than the evidence supports.
What the reported fees show
Ismaïla Sarr: reported record signing
BackPage FC describes Sarr as Watford’s record signing and reports a fee of £25.8 million. That is the outlet’s reported sterling figure, not a fee independently confirmed by an official Watford announcement in the available material. BackPage FC’s Watford transfer records and Fussballeuropa’s Watford transfer records both identify Sarr as the club’s most expensive arrival, but Fussballeuropa reports fees in euros. The different currency conventions are one reason not to merge the figures into a single ranking.

André Gray: reported 2017 fee
BackPage FC reports that Watford paid £18.5 million for Gray’s 2017 arrival. This is that publisher’s reported sterling fee; the available sources do not establish it as an officially disclosed final amount, including any add-ons.
Isaac Success and Moussa Sissoko
Success is among the high-fee arrivals shown in the Transfermarkt record-arrivals material. Sissoko appears in the alternate view as another notable expensive arrival. The available evidence does not give enough consistent fee detail to assign either player an exact place in a complete top 10.

What is established about the players now
Sarr’s Watford record
Watford FC reported that Sarr made 131 appearances for the club in an article published on 2 October 2026. That figure describes his Watford career; it does not identify his current club. Watford FC’s article on Sarr’s legacy is therefore useful for his club contribution, not as a current-status listing.
