No—not as a current offer. The headline refers to a Walmart-exclusive Xbox 360 bundle that Microsoft announced in 2014. GeekWire reported that the $249 promotion was scheduled to start October 7, 2014; it is not evidence of today’s Walmart stock or price.
What was in Walmart’s $249 blue Xbox 360 bundle?
According to GeekWire’s September 13, 2014 report, the U.S. Walmart-exclusive package included:
| # | Preview | Product | Price | |

- A blue Xbox 360 with 500GB of storage and arctic accents
- A matching blue controller
- One month of Xbox Live Gold
- Call of Duty: Ghosts and Call of Duty: Black Ops II
The offer was scheduled to begin October 7, 2014. The report described Microsoft continuing to market the Xbox 360 nine years after its debut, while the Xbox One was already on the market; “comeback” was a playful headline, not an announcement of a present-day relaunch.
How did the separate Target bundle differ?
GeekWire also reported a separate $249 Target package. It was not the Walmart edition:
#1 Best Overall
| Reported offer | Console and hardware | Included games | Retailer |
|---|---|---|---|
| Blue 500GB bundle | Blue Xbox 360 with arctic accents; matching controller | Call of Duty: Ghosts; Call of Duty: Black Ops II | Walmart |
| 4GB Kinect bundle | Xbox 360 with 4GB storage; Kinect sensor | Kinect Adventures; Kinect Sports; Forza Horizon | Target |
Both prices and package details above are historical claims from GeekWire’s 2014 report, not current offers. The report also said regular black Xbox 360 bundles at other retailers were scheduled to start September 16, 2014.

It may appear as a used or collector item rather than as a current Walmart promotion. An eBay category for blue Xbox 360 E consoles displayed listings, including Call of Duty special-edition 500GB consoles, when accessed October 8, 2026. Listings change, and their presence does not establish Walmart availability, a typical price, or that a specific console is complete or working.

What to check before buying a listing
- Read the listing’s condition description and ask about operation if it is unclear.
- Confirm whether the controller and power supply are included; do not assume they come with the console.
- Check region details and the seller’s return terms for the particular listing.
- Compare the listed contents with what you actually want; the historical bundle’s games and one-month Xbox Live Gold inclusion do not mean a used listing includes them.
The phrase “blue Xbox 360 E 500GB Call of Duty special edition” can help locate the kind of collector item described in marketplace listings. It is a search phrase, not a guarantee of stock, completeness, condition, or a fair price.
