No. Playit.pk was reported to have drawn a Rs. 2.2 million (US$22,000) bid on Flippa, but the proposed sale did not close: the buyers retracted and the owners cancelled it before payment, according to contemporaneous reports.
What happened to the reported Rs. 2.2 million sale?
In 2015, TechJuice reported that Playit.pk had received 38 bids on Flippa, with a reported bid of Rs. 2.2 million, or US$22,000. Its report was later updated to say the buyers retracted and the owners cancelled the sale before payment. TechJuice’s report and update therefore describe a proposed transaction, not a completed sale. PhoneWorld also reported that the transaction did not complete: PhoneWorld’s account.

The distinction matters: the reported bid is not evidence that the owners received Rs. 2.2 million. The available reporting does not establish that any payment or transfer of ownership took place.
Why was Playit.pk created?
Playit.pk was a Pakistani website, also offered as an Android app, built around access to YouTube videos when YouTube was blocked in Pakistan. TechJuice said its founders initially set out to make a tool for moving videos from YouTube to Facebook; the restriction prompted them to shift toward a service that let people access YouTube content. The Express Tribune also described Playit.pk as one of the local portals offering direct access to YouTube during the block. The Express Tribune’s January 2016 report.

How did YouTube’s return affect Playit.pk?
When YouTube became accessible in Pakistan, local services whose purpose was to provide access during the block faced a changed market. In January 2016, The Express Tribune reported Playit.pk founder and CEO Muhammad Sohaib Shaheen’s statement that traffic had fallen by up to 30%. That is an attributed report about a decline, not a measure of current traffic or a claim that the service stopped operating.

TechJuice quoted PlayIt founder Mohammad Sohaib Shaheen as saying: “Only reason to sell this site is that I want to move to another project and I don’t have time to manage this project.” The statement explains the reported motivation for considering a sale; it does not change the fact that the reported transaction was cancelled before payment.
