Lightchain’s own July 2025 releases reported different prices—$0.007 and $0.007125—while its forum says mainnet launched on May 7, 2026. Those are historical project statements, not evidence of today’s token price or investment performance.
What the July 2025 presale announcements actually said
The two reported prices come from separate Lightchain-sourced releases. Their dates and wording matter: they should not be merged into one price or treated as proof that a $0.006 offer was available.
| Announcement | Reported price | Other reported detail |
|---|---|---|
| Lightchain release via GlobeNewswire, July 4, 2025 | $0.007125 per token, described as the final bonus-phase price | More than $21.1 million raised, according to Lightchain; not independently verified here |
| Lightchain release via GlobeNewswire, July 7, 2025 | $0.007 per token, described as the bonus-round price | $21 million raised, according to Lightchain; not independently verified here |
The July 7 release also said all 15 presale phases had completed and a bonus round was underway. Neither release, as reported here, verifies $0.006 as the final-phase price. A historical presale figure is not a current market quote: it does not tell you what LCAI can be bought or sold for now.
Why “smartest investment of 2025” is not established
A presale price alone cannot show whether an investment was smart. That judgment depends on what buyers could actually acquire, the value and liquidity of the token later, and the risks taken along the way. The evidence summarized here does not establish LCAI’s current market price, trading liquidity, independent network usage, or investment returns. It also provides no comparable data for ranking LCAI against other investments in 2025.

That means the headline’s superlative is not a verifiable conclusion. The releases document what Lightchain said about its offering at specific moments; they do not demonstrate that buyers could later sell at a profit or that the token outperformed alternatives.
What Lightchain says LCAI and its network are for
Proof of Intelligence and AIVM
Lightchain describes itself as blockchain infrastructure for AI-related applications. Its project materials present Proof of Intelligence (PoI) as a way to reward useful AI computation and an Artificial Intelligence Virtual Machine (AIVM) as an environment for AI-enabled decentralized applications. These are descriptions of the project’s intended design, not independent confirmation of performance or broad deployment.
Supply and stated token utilities
Lightchain documentation states a total supply cap of 10,000,000,000 LCAI and describes token uses including payments for AI tasks, governance staking, and access to premium features. Those stated uses do not, by themselves, establish user demand, revenue, or investment value. The project whitepaper also describes its roadmap and tokenomics; those remain project-authored materials.
Mainnet status changes the presale framing
A Lightchain forum announcement, posted May 8, 2026, says mainnet launched on May 7, 2026, and identifies an explorer and bridge. That makes a present-tense description of the presale stale. A launch announcement is a project statement about deployment; by itself it does not establish independent adoption, functioning activity at scale, or a market price.

How to assess LCAI without mistaking claims for proof
For a decision today, first establish facts that the historical presale releases cannot answer. In particular, do not use the old offer prices as a proxy for a current buy or sell price.
Quick Recap
Best Value
- Verify the current market and venue. Check whether LCAI is currently available on a venue you can access, the quoted price and timestamp, and whether there is enough trading activity to support a sale. The evidence summarized here does not establish these facts.
- Check the token and distribution details. Compare the project’s stated supply cap with current on-chain supply, circulating supply, allocations, and any vesting or unlock schedules. The stated cap is not the same as the number available to trade.
- Look for independently verifiable use. A project’s description of PoI, AIVM, or token utilities is not a substitute for evidence of active applications, users, and AI-related transactions on the network.
- Review security and governance in context. Lightchain’s website lists audit coverage by Cyberscope, CertiK, and SolidProof, with dates shown on the site. An audit is evidence of review activity, not a guarantee against bugs, operational failures, or losses. Its governance documentation describes a governor and timelock but warns that listed values are genesis configuration and may have changed; check current on-chain state before relying on parameters.
- Decide how much risk you can bear. Treat a presale or newly launched token as speculative. Do not invest money you cannot afford to lose, and do not let an unverified headline price or superlative substitute for evidence about price, liquidity, supply, usage, and security.
