Gias Foods expanded its recall on October 1, 2026, to cover all lot codes of one frozen Walmart product: bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine. Which Walmart meal was recalled?
The recall applies to bettergoods Authentic Italian Lemon Alfredo Fettuccine, a frozen meal sold in Walmart stores nationwide, according to Gias Foods’ October 1, 2026 notice.

Despite the plural wording sometimes used in headlines, the current notice identifies this one product, not a range of Walmart ready-to-eat meals.
Why was the fettuccine recalled?
Gias Foods says routine sampling by the Washington State Department of Agriculture and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services found that finished product may contain Listeria monocytogenes. The company said it stopped distribution while it and the FDA continued investigating the cause.

The FDA-posted September 15 notice initially covered two lots, L6079C and L6080C, with expiration dates of 09/19/2027 and 09/20/2027. The October 1 expansion supersedes that narrower lot scope: consumers should use the UPC and product identity, not those earlier lot details, to check for a match.
What should you do if you have it?
- Check the package. Match the product name, 22-ounce size, yellow plastic packaging, and UPC 194346442706. The October 1 notice covers every lot code.
- Do not open or eat it. FoodSafety.gov advises consumers not to consume a product that matches a recall and to follow the recall notice’s return or disposal instructions.
- Return it for a refund. Gias Foods asks purchasers to return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund.
- Contact the company if needed. Gias Foods lists [email protected] and 917-675-4890 for consumer questions.
What are the health concerns?
Listeria monocytogenes can cause serious, sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, frail or older adults, and people with weakened immune systems. Infection during pregnancy can lead to miscarriage or stillbirth. The company notice lists possible short-term symptoms in healthy individuals, including high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea. A recalled product may pose a risk; having it does not by itself mean someone has become infected.

What has the company said about illnesses?
In both its September 15 and October 1 notices, Gias Foods said no illnesses had been reported to date. That is the company’s time-specific statement, not a guarantee that the product cannot cause illness.

When checked, Walmart’s corporate recall listing displayed the September 15 Gias item. The available information does not establish whether Walmart had updated that listing to reflect the October 1 expansion.
