Veterans Day 2025 fell on Tuesday, November 11, and the offers listed here have expired. They included restaurant food, attraction admission and other local or service offers, but eligibility and redemption rules varied by provider. A past promotion is not evidence that the same business will offer a deal in 2026.
What Veterans Day 2025 offers included
National roundups from The American Legion and DAV covered a range of promotions, including restaurant meals and drinks, attraction admission, and other services. Their listings provide a broad view of the offers reported for 2025, not a guarantee that every location participated or that every listed term applied everywhere.
For a personal-finance reader, the key distinction is between a free item available on Veterans Day and a card or voucher that had to be redeemed later. In either case, these were time-limited promotions, not ongoing benefits.
Examples of reported 2025 freebies
| Provider | Reported offer | Eligibility and terms | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Applebee’s | Free full-size entrée and a $5 Bounce Back Card, according to Dine Brands’ announcement | Veterans and active-duty military on November 11, 2025. Applebee’s specified participating U.S. locations and dine-in service. The Bounce Back Card was for a future meal. | Expired. The announcement does not establish that the offer or card is available now. Dine Brands announcement; Applebee’s offer page |
| Freddy’s | Free combo meal card | Veterans and active military who visited on November 11, 2025; the card had to be redeemed by December 31, 2025. | Expired. Freddy’s offer page |
| Chili’s | A special-menu meal was listed in DAV’s 2025 roundup | The available listing is secondary; precise eligibility and location conditions are not established here. | Expired. DAV roundup |
| Colonial Williamsburg | Admission offer listed in DAV’s 2025 roundup | The available listing is secondary; precise eligibility and venue conditions are not established here. | Expired. DAV roundup |
What varied from offer to offer
- Who qualified: Some named veterans and active-duty military; other promotions could include additional groups. Do not assume eligibility was identical across businesses.
- Where and how to redeem: Applebee’s specified participating U.S. locations and dine-in service. Other offers had their own participation and redemption terms.
- Proof of service: AARP’s roundup, updated November 6, 2025, reported that proof was commonly required and gave military ID and DD-214 as examples. Requirements depended on the business; no single document should be assumed to work everywhere. AARP’s 2025 roundup
- Later redemption: A free card or bounce-back offer could have a separate deadline. Freddy’s December 31, 2025 deadline has passed, as has the date of the Applebee’s promotion.
How to check for future Veterans Day offers
- Look for a current-year announcement from the business or its official offer page; an archived 2025 listing does not confirm a 2026 promotion.
- Read the full terms for eligible groups, participating locations, dine-in or other redemption requirements, and any purchase restrictions.
- Check what proof of service is accepted by that specific provider before visiting.
- If the offer gives a card or voucher instead of an immediate benefit, note its separate expiration date and redemption conditions.
The American Legion, DAV and AARP roundups can help identify offers to investigate, but third-party listings should not override a merchant’s current terms. The 2025 roundups are historical references, not a complete archive of every local promotion.
