Verizon myPlan explained: 2026 pricing, tiers and perks comparison

As of August 10, 2026, Verizon myPlan is a customizable postpaid plan structure with three unlimited tiers: Unlimited Welcome, Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Ultimate. Each phone line can choose its own tier, and optional perks such as streaming services, hotspot data, cloud storage and travel benefits are added separately. That makes myPlan more flexible than a traditional one-plan-per-account arrangement, but it also makes the real bill harder to estimate.

Verizon launched its newer Simplicity Plan on June 16, 2026, shifting its public marketing toward a single-tier plan. Verizon says existing myPlan customers can continue using myPlan, and myPlan may still appear through account-specific offers, device promotions, stores and support pages. The comparison below uses standard myPlan rates and currently listed perks, not a guaranteed checkout quote.

What Verizon myPlan includes

myPlan is best understood as four separate parts of a wireless bill:

1. Base mobile plan: Unlimited talk, text and smartphone data, with network access, video, hotspot, international and upgrade benefits determined by the tier.
2. Optional perks: Recurring add-ons for entertainment, travel, hotspot data, storage, family safety and other services.
3. Device costs and promotions: Monthly phone payments, trade-in credits and other device offers.
4. Discounts, taxes and fees: Auto Pay, paper-free billing, employer or eligibility discounts, taxes, surcharges and regulatory fees.

The advertised per-line price is therefore not the same as the final bill. A useful estimate is:

Base plan rate − eligible account or promotional credits + perk charges + device payments + taxes, fees and surcharges − other discounts = estimated monthly bill.

Verizon says an account can have up to 12 phone lines, and lines can mix Unlimited Welcome, Unlimited Plus and Unlimited Ultimate. Each line can also have different eligible perks. This is one of myPlan’s most important features: a light-data user can use Welcome, a hotspot-heavy user can use Plus, and an international traveler can use Ultimate on the same account. What changed in 2026?

Simplicity became Verizon’s public flagship

On June 16, 2026, Verizon introduced Simplicity as a flat-rate plan with one network tier and optional add-ons. Verizon’s consumer guide to Simplicity and myPlan says myPlan remains available for customers who prefer choosing different tiers and perks.

This means Verizon’s main plan page may now promote Simplicity or redirect shoppers away from the older myPlan presentation. It does not, by itself, prove that myPlan is universally closed to new customers. If you are opening a new account, check the plan options shown in your Verizon checkout, store quote or My Verizon account.

The myPlan price-guarantee cutoff is June 16

Verizon support says the three-year myPlan base-price guarantee applies to customers who enrolled in or switched to myPlan before June 16, 2026, subject to the guarantee’s terms. It is not a blanket promise for every person who chooses myPlan after that date.

The guarantee covers the then-current base rate for talk, text and data. It does not lock the price of perks, taxes, fees or surcharges. Canceling lines or moving them to an ineligible plan can also affect eligibility. Review Verizon’s Important Plan Information and the applicable myPlan support terms before assuming your bill is protected.

Unlimited Ultimate 1.0 stopped accepting new additions

Verizon retired the original Unlimited Ultimate plan for new additions on May 7, 2026. Existing customers may retain it as Unlimited Ultimate 1.0. New Ultimate lines, or lines changed to Ultimate, receive the updated version, which Verizon says adds Verizon Family Plus and Identity Secure through included-plan treatment or bill credits.

Do not assume that an existing Ultimate 1.0 line and a newly added Ultimate line have identical benefits. Compare the benefit description in My Verizon and the current Unlimited Ultimate FAQ with Verizon’s Ultimate 1.0 FAQ.

Verizon myPlan pricing as of August 10, 2026

The latest official indexed myPlan pricing table available for this comparison shows the following standard monthly rates per phone line. These prices assume Auto Pay and paper-free billing and exclude taxes, fees, perks and device payments.

Verizon’s indexed terms say the price is $10 more per line without Auto Pay and paper-free billing. Taxes and fees are additional. The rate table is a dated reference point, not a promise that every account will see the same quote. Verizon has displayed different Ultimate rates and promotions at different times, so use the final order summary in Verizon’s plan checkout as the controlling price.

Promotional rates and account credits are separate

Verizon’s indexed plan information also showed a limited-time account-credit structure:

• $10 per month for one line.
• $15 per month for two lines.
• $20 per month for three or more lines.
• Credits expire after 36 months.
• A new smartphone line may be required.
• Credits end if eligibility requirements are no longer met.

A separate Verizon display showed a limited-time offer of four Unlimited Welcome lines for $25 per line with Auto Pay, before taxes and fees. Treat that as a promotion, not the normal four-line Welcome rate of $30 per line. Promotions can have separate line, device, trade-in and timing requirements, and you should not assume that two displayed offers stack.

Unlimited Welcome vs. Plus vs. Ultimate

All three myPlan tiers generally include unlimited talk, text and smartphone data on Verizon’s 5G and 4G LTE networks. They also generally include talk, text and data in Mexico and Canada, international texting, Verizon Family, Call Filter spam blocking and eligibility for Verizon home-internet bundle discounts where available.

Those shared features do not mean the tiers deliver the same experience. Video resolution, congestion treatment, Ultra Wideband access, hotspot, international roaming and upgrade eligibility differ materially.

Verizon’s Important Plan Information contains the network, speed and video qualifications behind these descriptions. 5G Ultra Wideband access depends on location, coverage and a compatible device; selecting a tier does not mean the phone will remain connected to Ultra Wideband everywhere.

Unlimited Welcome: the budget tier, with meaningful limits

Welcome is appropriate when minimizing the base rate matters more than premium network features. It includes unlimited smartphone data, but the data is not always treated like data on the higher tiers. Verizon says Welcome smartphone data and purchased hotspot data may be temporarily slowed during congestion.

Welcome video is generally limited to 480p SD. Verizon also lists a 500 GB smartphone-data threshold per billing cycle; after that point, speeds may be reduced to up to 4 Mbps for the rest of the cycle. Base-plan hotspot is not included, although a 100 GB or unlimited hotspot perk may be available for an additional monthly charge.

Welcome is therefore not simply the same service as Plus or Ultimate at a lower price. Its network access, congestion treatment, video quality and hotspot arrangement are different.

Unlimited Plus: the middle option for Ultra Wideband and hotspot

Plus adds 5G Ultra Wideband access and 30 GB of premium mobile-hotspot data per billing cycle. Hotspot continues after the 30 GB allowance, but at up to 3 Mbps on Ultra Wideband or 600 Kbps on 5G/4G LTE.

Plus normally provides up to 720p video on Ultra Wideband and 480p on 5G/4G LTE. Verizon’s Premium Video Streaming option can raise compatible Ultra Wideband streaming to up to 4K and 5G/4G LTE streaming to up to 720p. The setting may need to be enabled in My Verizon, and the device, app and network must support the higher quality.

Plus also includes free satellite text messaging, up to 50% off one eligible connected-device plan and Plus Phone Upgrade eligibility. It does not include Ultimate’s international roaming package.

Unlimited Ultimate: the travel and heavy-hotspot tier

Ultimate includes 200 GB of premium hotspot data per billing cycle. After 200 GB, hotspot remains available at up to 6 Mbps for the rest of that billing cycle. That is what Verizon means by unlimited hotspot here: continued connectivity after a high-speed allowance, not unlimited hotspot at the initial premium speed.

Ultimate’s international benefit covers unlimited talk, text and data in 210-plus countries and destinations. The first 15 GB per month is high speed; afterward, data continues at up to 1.5 Mbps. More-than-50%-of-usage restrictions may apply if usage is primarily outside the United States over a 60-day period. Local network availability and country-specific terms still apply.

Ultimate also includes Global Choice international calling from the United States, with up to 300 minutes per month to one selected country depending on the country chosen. Its other benefits include up to 50% off two eligible connected-device plans, 4K video streaming when supported, enhanced video calling in eligible locations, free satellite messaging and Ultimate Phone Upgrade eligibility.

For customers who add or change to current Unlimited Ultimate on or after May 7, 2026, Verizon says Verizon Family Plus and Identity Secure are included through the current plan treatment. Existing Ultimate 1.0 customers should verify whether their legacy benefit package is different.

Current myPlan perks and prices

Perks are generally recurring monthly add-ons rather than free inclusions. Eligibility can vary by base tier, line, device and account. Verizon says eligible perks can be added during signup or later through My Verizon. The following list reflects the prices and availability shown for this comparison on August 10, 2026.

Entertainment perks

Verizon’s Apple Music FAQ and Apple One FAQ announce the September 1 price increase. As of August 10, Apple Music Family is $10 and Apple One Family is $20 through Verizon; the scheduled prices are $13 and $23, respectively. Verizon also lists a Simplicity Apple Bundle for families changing from $20 to $23 on that date.

Productivity, AI and video perks

Travel, hotspot and storage perks

The 3 TravelPass Days perk is not automatically an unlimited international plan. It is most useful for occasional trips when the number of travel days and expected data use make it cheaper than paying TravelPass days individually. Ultimate customers should compare its included international service instead, since the perk is not available on Ultimate.

Family, safety and second-number perks

Perks no longer available to add

Verizon’s support hub identifies several legacy perks that existing customers may retain but that are no longer generally available for new additions:

• 2 TB Cloud Storage.
• Walmart+.
• Smartwatch Data & Safety.
• +play Monthly Credit.

Do not include these items in a new myPlan comparison unless Verizon specifically shows them as available on your account. Existing customers may have different retention terms.

Verizon’s plan-perks support hub has the current and legacy categories, while the individual Disney, Netflix and HBO Max, TravelPass and hotspot FAQs contain the specific activation and eligibility terms.

How to calculate the real monthly bill

Start with the rate for the account’s total number of phone lines, then assign each line the tier it needs. Add only the perks the household would otherwise purchase, and then account for device payments, credits, taxes and fees.

Illustrative single-line calculation

Suppose one line uses standard Unlimited Plus and adds the Disney bundle:

• Unlimited Plus base rate: $80 per month with Auto Pay and paper-free billing.
• Disney+, Hulu and ESPN+ perk: $10 per month.
• Illustrative subtotal before taxes, fees, device payments and discounts: $90 per month.

This is an illustration, not a Verizon quote. A device payment, account credit, eligibility discount or promotion could change the result.

Illustrative four-line calculation

At the standard four-line rates, an account with four lines all on the same tier would have these base-plan totals:

A mixed account can be more efficient. For example, using the standard four-or-more-line rates, two Welcome lines, one Plus line and one Ultimate line would be an illustrative base subtotal of $165 per month: $30 + $30 + $45 + $60. Add-ons, promotions and the actual account configuration can change that calculation, so confirm that mixed-tier pricing in My Verizon before making the switch.

A promotional four-line Welcome offer at $25 per line would produce a $100 base subtotal before taxes and fees, but it should not be treated as the normal $120 standard price or assumed to combine with a separate account-credit offer.

How to judge whether a perk saves money

Compare the Verizon perk with the exact services you would otherwise pay for, not with the most expensive version advertised by the provider. A $13 Netflix and HBO Max perk is valuable if the household already pays for those same ad-supported tiers. It is not a $13 saving for someone who uses only Netflix, has an annual subscription, or wants an ad-free upgrade that costs extra.

Do the same calculation for Apple, Google, YouTube and travel perks. A perk that replaces an existing subscription can be useful; a perk added because it appears inexpensive still raises the Verizon bill.

How to add, remove and activate perks

In the My Verizon app

1. Sign in as the Account Owner or Account Manager.
2. Open the Mobile tab.
3. Tap the current plan or the applicable mobile number.
4. Tap Manage your perks.
5. Toggle perks on or off.
6. Tap Continue.
7. Review the plan change.
8. Tap Confirm.
9. Return to the plan overview and tap Set up or Register for any partner subscription that requires activation.

On the My Verizon website

1. Sign in as the Account Owner or Account Manager.
2. Go to Account.
3. Open My plan.
4. Select Plan overview.
5. Choose Change plan.
6. Select the desired plan and choose perks for each line.
7. Select Continue.
8. Select an effective date if Verizon presents that option.
9. Review all plan, perk, device-credit and billing changes.
10. Select Confirm.

Verizon generally begins billing when a perk is added, and perks are generally not prorated. They recur monthly until canceled. Other account users may be able to activate a subscription, but Account Owners and Account Managers control adding or removing perks. My Verizon normally displays only perks eligible for the particular plan and line.

myPlan versus Simplicity

Simplicity should not automatically be called cheaper. Compare the exact base price, line count, hotspot allowance, international service, required add-ons, device credits, price-lock status, taxes and fees. Verizon’s Simplicity announcement and consumer guide explain the portfolio change, but the account-specific checkout is necessary for a reliable bill comparison.

Which myPlan tier should you choose?

Choose Unlimited Welcome when cost is the priority

• You want the lowest standard base rate.
• Users rarely need hotspot data.
• 480p video is acceptable.
• Most usage is on ordinary 5G or 4G LTE.
• The household rarely travels outside the United States, Mexico or Canada.
• You can tolerate possible congestion-related slowdowns.

Welcome is especially reasonable for light users and cost-focused family lines. It becomes less attractive if a user regularly needs hotspot, high-resolution streaming or consistently higher network treatment.

Choose Unlimited Plus for the middle ground

• You want 5G Ultra Wideband access.
• Thirty GB of premium hotspot data per month is enough.
• You want better default streaming quality.
• One connected-device discount has value.
• International travel is occasional rather than central.

Plus is often the practical compromise, but its 30 GB hotspot threshold matters. After that, the reduced-speed allowance may be adequate for basic use but frustrating for large downloads, video calls or tethered work.

Choose Unlimited Ultimate for travel and heavy hotspot use

• You travel internationally often.
• You need more than 30 GB of premium hotspot data.
• Two connected-device discounts matter.
• 4K streaming or enhanced video calling is valuable and supported by your devices and locations.
• You want Verizon’s strongest current phone-upgrade eligibility.

Ultimate is expensive if you do not use its included international, hotspot or premium-network benefits. Remember that its high-speed international data ends at 15 GB per month and premium hotspot ends at 200 GB per billing cycle.

Choose Simplicity if you value fewer decisions

Simplicity may be a better fit if every line should use one network tier and your priority is a straightforward account structure. It is also worth considering for a new account if its exact price and included benefits beat the myPlan quote. But existing customers should first calculate the value of device credits, legacy perks and any pre-June 16 myPlan price guarantee.

Examples for common households

A single-line customer

Start with the one-line standard prices: $65 for Welcome, $80 for Plus or $95 for Ultimate, before extras. Ask:

• Do you need 5G Ultra Wideband?
• Do you need included hotspot, and how much?
• Will you travel beyond Mexico and Canada?
• Would a $10 to $15 perk replace a subscription you already pay for?
• Do you qualify for a Verizon student, military, first-responder, nurse or teacher discount?

Verizon lists these discount categories, but eligibility and the amount vary by program and number of lines. Apply the discount only after confirming the requirements.

A four-line family

A family does not necessarily need four Ultimate lines. A cost-conscious configuration might put light users on Welcome, a person who works from a laptop on Plus and an international traveler on Ultimate. Compare the price of that mixed configuration with the value of the benefits actually used by each person.

Also compare perks by line. One household may need one Netflix and HBO Max perk, one YouTube Premium perk and one hotspot perk rather than the same add-on on every line.

A streaming-heavy household

List the services the household currently pays for, including the exact ad-supported or ad-free tier. Then compare that total with the Verizon perk charge. For example, the $13 Netflix Standard with ads and HBO Max Basic with ads perk may be useful when both services are already part of the household budget. It is not automatically a saving if one service is unused or an upgraded ad-free tier is required.

An international traveler

Compare Ultimate with Welcome or Plus plus TravelPass, a monthly international option or a local eSIM. Consider the number of days abroad, high-speed data requirements, calls made from one foreign country to another and whether use will be primarily outside the United States. Ultimate’s included service covers 210-plus countries and destinations, but only 15 GB per month is high speed.

Warnings before changing plans

Check device-payment credits first

Verizon says an existing device promotion may be canceled if the new plan is incompatible. A phone advertised as free may actually depend on monthly credits over a 36-month device-payment period. Before changing tiers, obtain a plan-change summary showing whether every device credit continues.

Price legacy perks before leaving an older plan

Customers on Play More, Get More or another legacy plan may already have included entertainment, hotspot or cloud benefits. Moving to myPlan can replace those inclusions with paid perks. A lower base rate can therefore produce a higher total bill after replacing a free legacy service.

Verizon specifically warns that legacy Disney offers can become billable at a different rate if a customer changes plans without selecting the replacement perk. Review the Disney perk FAQ and your account’s current benefits before confirming.

Do not activate a duplicate subscription

Before turning on a Verizon-billed perk, check whether you already pay the partner directly. This is important for Disney services, Netflix, HBO Max, Apple One, Apple Music, YouTube Premium and Google services. Annual subscriptions, family plans and direct-billed accounts may not be canceled automatically. Confirm which account is linked after activation and keep the old subscription canceled or paused if appropriate.

Activate time-limited perks promptly

Some perks have an activation deadline. YouTube Premium, for example, must be activated within 90 days or Verizon may cancel the perk while charging the applicable nonrefundable month. Do not assume selecting a perk in My Verizon completes the partner registration.

Review video settings and coverage

Premium video settings may need to be enabled in My Verizon. A capable phone, qualifying connection, supported app and suitable network location are required for maximum resolution. Selecting Plus or Ultimate does not guarantee 4K video everywhere.

Understand travel-day expiration

TravelPass perk days can accumulate up to 36 and can be saved for up to 12 months, but they cannot be transferred to another line. They are not prorated when the perk is canceled mid-cycle. Track the bank before removing the perk.

Final decision checklist

• Record the standard and promotional base price separately.
• Confirm whether Auto Pay and paper-free billing are required for the displayed rate.
• Choose the tier separately for each line where myPlan permits it.
• Calculate hotspot use against 30 GB for Plus and 200 GB for Ultimate.
• Calculate international high-speed use against Ultimate’s 15 GB monthly allowance.
• Price the exact streaming or storage tier included in each perk.
• Check whether existing direct-billed subscriptions will continue.
• Confirm device-payment promotional credits survive the change.
• Check whether a pre-June 16, 2026 myPlan price guarantee applies.
• Review taxes, fees, surcharges and discounts in the final order summary.
• Save the confirmation and activate partner subscriptions promptly.

Can different lines on one Verizon account use different myPlan tiers?
