Yes. USDA published its November 2025 Crop Production and World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) reports on November 14, after moving Crop Production from November 10. The funding lapse constrained some information used for WASDE, and the October Crop Production report was not published, leaving October 1 yield forecasts out of the November edition.

What happened to the November release?

On October 31, 2025, USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) announced that its November Crop Production report would come out November 14 rather than November 10. The agency said the World Agricultural Outlook Board (WAOB) would release WASDE alongside it. Both reports were published on November 14, 2025. USDA NASS’s October 31 notice set out the revised schedule.

The release therefore went ahead after rescheduling, despite the federal funding lapse. That does not mean the lapse had no effect on the reports: USDA described limitations on some of the information normally available for WASDE.

How the two USDA reports differ

Report Issuing office What it covers November 2025 qualification
Crop Production National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) Crop estimates, including production and yield forecasts. The November report said there were no October 1 yield forecasts because the October 2025 Crop Production report was not published.
WASDE World Agricultural Outlook Board (WAOB) Monthly annual supply-and-use forecasts for major U.S. and world crops, alongside U.S. supply-and-use coverage for several livestock and dairy commodities and Mexico’s sugar supply and use. The November report said some usual U.S. data sources were unavailable during the funding lapse and that information was limited for some U.S. balance-sheet changes.

These are related but separate publications. Crop Production reports crop estimates; WASDE brings supply-and-use forecasts together. Their shared November release date did not make their data caveats interchangeable. WAOB describes WASDE’s scope and monthly process on its WASDE page.

What USDA said about the funding lapse

In the November 14 WASDE-665 preface, WAOB stated: “Due to lapse in government funding from October 1 through November 12, some U.S. data sources that are typically used were not available for the November 2025 WASDE. Changes to the U.S. balance sheets continue to reflect all U.S. government data available at the time of publication, but this month, in some cases, that information was limited.”

The qualification matters: USDA did not say that every data source or estimate was unavailable. It said some sources normally used were missing, and that information for some U.S. balance-sheet changes was limited. The November report still incorporated government data available at publication time.

What the November estimates showed

The following figures are USDA forecasts for the 2025/26 marketing year in reports published November 14, 2025. They are estimates, not final realized outcomes or current 2026 forecasts.

Commodity and measure November 2025 USDA estimate
U.S. corn production Forecast at 16.8 billion bushels, down 62 million bushels from September; yield forecast reduced 0.7 bushel to 186.0 bushels per acre.
U.S. corn ending stocks Raised 44 million bushels to 2.2 billion bushels.
U.S. wheat supplies Raised 58 million bushels to 1.985 billion bushels, based on a record all-wheat yield.
U.S. season-average farm price for wheat Forecast lowered 10 cents to $5.00 per bushel.

The corn figures are reported in the November 2025 WASDE materials; the wheat supply and price changes appear in the November 14 WASDE-665 report. Because those figures belong to a dated forecast, readers looking for current crop-market numbers should use the latest dated USDA WASDE release rather than treating November’s estimates as current.

Why October’s missing crop report matters

NASS’s November Crop Production report explicitly noted that it did not include October 1 yield forecasts because the October 2025 report had not been published. That leaves a gap in the monthly Crop Production reporting sequence; it is distinct from WASDE’s broader statement about data sources during the funding lapse. The November crop figures should therefore be read with that missing October update in mind.
