That means there is no confirmed figure here for “the dollar rate in Pakistan today.” NBP’s readable 10 June 2026 sheet shows how its rates are divided, but those figures are historical and must not be treated as today’s rates.
What is the USD to PKR rate in NBP’s 8 October bulletin?
The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) archive lists 8 October 2026 as the date of its newest rate sheet. The linked PDF returned a 403 Forbidden response, and an exact-bulletin search did not locate an indexed copy. As a result, the 8 October USD/PKR buying and selling rates are unverified; quoting a number as the current NBP rate would be misleading. Check the NBP rate-sheet archive for the dated bulletin and confirm its figures directly with the bank if the PDF remains unavailable.
Why NBP sheets show more than one dollar rate
NBP’s rate sheet separates rates by transaction type, tenor and direction. The figures are not interchangeable: a rate listed for a particular transaction category does not establish what a customer will receive for another kind of exchange or transfer. NBP describes its institutional offerings as including foreign-exchange and rupee-denominated products, but that information is not a consumer remittance quote or a promise of a particular cash-exchange rate (NBP Treasury).
- Ready Transaction Rates: The sheet labels these as TT buying and TT selling.
- Indicative FBP Rates: These are shown for a sight/15-day period and 1M through 6M tenors. The tenor is part of the quote and should accompany any amount.
- Conversion Rates for Frozen FCY Deposits: This is a distinct category, not a general dollar rate.
- Cash/Currency Notes: The sheet lists separate buying and selling rates for cash notes.
Buying and selling are also different sides of a transaction. Always read the category and direction beside the amount; saying only “the USD rate” leaves out information needed to interpret the quote.

How to find the rate relevant to your transaction
- Open NBP’s rate-sheet archive and locate the sheet dated 8 October 2026.
- Read the amount under the category that matches the transaction—TT, cash/currency note, FBP tenor or frozen-deposit conversion—rather than selecting a figure from another category.
- Check whether the relevant column says buying or selling, and note any tenor shown with an FBP quote.
- If the current sheet cannot be opened, ask NBP to confirm the dated figure. Do not substitute the 10 June historical examples for the unavailable 8 October numbers.
