UPSC’s notice opened online applications on January 27, 2024. The application deadline was 23:59 on February 15, 2024, and the deadline to print a completed application was 23:59 on February 16, 2024. Both deadlines have passed; this advertisement is not an open application.

How eligibility worked
Eligibility was specific to each vacancy. Applicants needed to check the exact post entry in the official advertisement for the required education, experience, age limit, reservation details and any post-specific conditions, along with the notice’s instructions about supporting documents. The advertisement states that eligibility was determined as of the prescribed application closing date. UPSC’s notice puts it this way: “DATE FOR DETERMINING THE ELIGIBILITY OF ALL CANDIDATES IN EVERY RESPECT SHALL BE THE PRESCRIBED CLOSING DATE FOR SUBMISISON OF ONLINE RECRUITMENT APPLICATION (ORA).”
Application route and selection process
UPSC directed applicants to submit online applications through upsconline.nic.in. The notice cautioned that incorrect particulars could lead to rejection during computer-based shortlisting and possible debarment. Interview dates for shortlisted candidates were to be communicated separately. The notice does not establish a common written competitive examination or a shared syllabus for these posts.
