The UPPSC calendar revision published in June 2024 scheduled PCS prelims for 27 October and RO/ARO prelims for 22 December. Those were planned dates, not the final event history: November reporting later gave revised dates for both exams. This is a historical schedule; check the relevant UPPSC notice for the authoritative details of a particular recruitment.
What the UPPSC June 2024 calendar announced
Contemporaneous reports by The Indian Express and Hindustan Times said the revised calendar listed the Combined State/Senior Subordinate Services (PCS) preliminary examination for 27 October 2024 and the Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO) preliminary examination for 22 December 2024. These dates describe the June revision, not when the exams ultimately took place.
Other entries in the revised schedule
June calendar coverage also reported the following entries. This is a selection of exams, not a complete transcription of the calendar:

- Combined State Agricultural Service prelims: 18 August 2024.

How the PCS and RO/ARO dates later changed
A report published by India Today on 6 November 2024 said the PCS prelims had moved from 27 October to 7–8 December 2024. It also reported RO/ARO prelims for 22–23 December 2024, rather than the single date shown in June.
| Examination | June 2024 revision | Dates reported in November 2024 |
|---|---|---|
| PCS prelims | 27 October 2024 | 7–8 December 2024 |
| RO/ARO prelims | 22 December 2024 | 22–23 December 2024 |
The November dates are reported by a secondary news source; the material available here does not establish the official final notice or the eventual exam outcomes. Do not treat either column as proof that an exam was held on those dates.

For an authoritative record, check the relevant recruitment notice and examination-calendar updates on the official UPPSC website. Its currently indexed calendar PDF is a later calendar, not evidence of the original 2024 schedule. For a past recruitment, look for notices specific to that exam rather than assuming a calendar entry remained unchanged.
