Applications and fees had to be submitted online, and the FAQ said candidates did not need to mail application documents. Since the deadline and exams have passed, do not use these dates to plan a new application.

The FAQ listed fees per post, including GST: ₹1,180 for applicants not domiciled in Uttar Pradesh, and ₹826 for Uttar Pradesh UR, OBC (non-creamy layer), SC and ST candidates. Bank transaction charges could also apply. These were fees for the 2024 cycle only.

What was the exam pattern and selection process?
Careers360 reported a computer-based test (CBT) with 100 multiple-choice questions, a two-hour duration, and question papers in Hindi and English. The reported subject areas were English language, general knowledge, quantitative aptitude, logical ability and discipline-specific questions. It also reported a penalty of one-third mark for each wrong answer. This is secondary reporting of the exam format, not a substitute for the official advertisement or exam instructions.
The reported selection sequence was written examination, document verification and medical examination. UPMRC’s Junior Engineer/S&T result notice confirms that the CBT was held on May 11, 12 and 14, 2024, and that shortlisted candidates were called for document verification and medical examination.

It says objections to answers were received from May 17 to 20, 2024, reviewed, and followed by a revised answer key for the final result.
