Reports published in 2026 described 14 additions, split between daily year-round service and seasonal flying. The routes originated at Chicago O’Hare, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington Dulles. Although the announcement is sometimes described as a domestic expansion, it included Halifax and Québec City in Canada, making it a North American network expansion rather than U.S.-only growth. The five year-round additions were reported as daily flights. They offered a different kind of network change from a summer-only route: scheduled service throughout the year, rather than a limited seasonal window. Nine seasonal routes, mostly once a week
The nine seasonal routes were reported as Saturday-only, with one directional exception: Chicago–Cody was described as westbound on Friday and eastbound on Saturday. A once-weekly nonstop can be useful when its operating day matches a trip, but it provides much less date flexibility than a daily route. Confirm the specific direction and date in United’s current schedule.
What the routes could mean for a trip
A new nonstop can remove a connection for travelers whose origin, destination, and dates line up with the flight. Frequency matters as much as the city pair: a daily flight gives more date choices, while weekly seasonal service requires planning around its operating day. The announcement coverage does not establish current fares, seat availability, or whether a particular itinerary is still operating.

What is confirmed—and what is not
Engine Cowl reported that Patrick Quayle, United’s senior vice president of Global Network Planning and Alliances, said the airline had “a lot in store for 2026” and would “share just a few of our many plans to better connect travelers to the people and the experiences that inspire them.” Those phrases are attributed to Engine Cowl’s report; the original social post was not independently located. Engine Cowl’s account and Cranky Flier’s route summary are secondary reporting, not a current United schedule. A separate route-and-date table from Siyatra has omissions and discrepancies, so it should not be treated as definitive for exact schedules.
