Who is Courtney Knupp?
In its July announcement, USB described Knupp as director of global supply chain at the National Security Council. It said she coordinated U.S. policy to strengthen resilience in agriculture and food, and previously advised the U.S. Secretary and Deputy Secretary of Agriculture on trade and food safety.
Her earlier roles included vice president of international market development at the National Pork Board and director of global animal and aquaculture nutrition at the U.S. Soybean Export Council, as well as positions at the National Pork Producers Council, BASF, and Elanco Animal Health. USB said she grew up on a family farm in Iowa and earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business and international agriculture from Iowa State University.
