The Union Bank of India call letter reported as released in late November 2024 was for the online examination of that year’s Local Bank Officer (LBO) recruitment. Its download window closed on December 6, 2024, so that call letter cannot be fetched today, and the login page linked in the 2024 report is not a standing link. For the current LBO process, use the bank’s official recruitment page and choose the notice that matches your stage.
What the November 2024 call letter was
Hindustan Times reported the online-exam call letter release on November 28, 2024. Its direct link opened an IBPS login page. Candidates needed their registration number and date of birth to log in, and the report gave a download deadline of December 6, 2024. Those details describe a closed process and should be read as history, not as instructions for today.

The underlying recruitment was advertised by Union Bank of India in 2024 for 1,500 Local Bank Officers. Applications ran from October 24 to November 13, 2024, according to the original notice, which is available as a PDF from the bank.
Where to check the current LBO status
The 2024 headline referred to unionbankofindia.co.in. The official recruitment listing is on the bank’s recruitment page at unionbankofindia.bank.in, so use that address and check that the page is the bank’s own.

- Open the official Careers and Recruitment page. The 2024 notice described the route as Union Bank’s website, then “Recruitments,” then “Careers Overview.”
- Find the entry titled “Recruitment of Local Bank Officer 2025-26.”
- Select the link for your stage. The listing currently includes later-stage material: candidate lists, interview and DV/LPT call letters, a waitlist and provisional selections. Only the link matching your stage applies to you.
- If a call letter is required for your stage, open it from that link and read the date, session, reporting time and venue on your own letter. Do not rely on a date quoted in a news article, including the 2024 one.
Documents to carry to the exam
The 2024 notice set these requirements for the online examination:
- A valid call letter.
- An original photo ID whose name matches the name on the call letter and application.
- A photocopy of that ID, as the notification requires.
Accepted ID examples in the notice include a PAN card, passport, permanent driving licence, voter ID, Aadhaar or e-Aadhaar with a photograph, and certain college, university or employer IDs. Ration cards and learner’s driving licences are not accepted. Candidates arriving after the reporting time stated on the call letter were not admitted.

If you used a scribe
- While downloading the call letter, supply the scribe’s details.
- Download the separately completed scribe declaration.
- Bring both the call letter and the declaration, along with your other required documents.
Exam pattern and marking
The 2024 notification set the following structure. These figures apply to that recruitment only and should be checked against any later notice.

Selection stages
- Online examination: the objective test and descriptive component above.
- Local language verification (LPT): required unless waived. Candidates who studied the required local language in the school records specified in the notice are exempt.
- Group discussion: only if the bank conducts one, as the notice states.
- Interview.
Because the bank updates its recruitment page by stage, the next call letter or notice you need may appear under a different heading from the 2024 release. Check the page’s entry for the 2025-26 LBO recruitment before you act on any date or link.
