The UKPSC Upper PCS result announced on August 29, 2024, was the preliminary-stage shortlist, not the final selection list. UKPSC’s official Candidate Corner has a Results directory; use it to locate the relevant notice and verify its stage. A later report says the final selection result was published on June 1, 2026.
Which UKPSC Upper PCS result does the 2024 announcement refer to?
It refers to the preliminary result for the Uttarakhand Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2024. The preliminary examination took place on July 14, 2024, and the result announcement followed on August 29, 2024. The candidates listed were shortlisted for Mains; they were not thereby confirmed as final selections. Scroll.in reported that the 2024 recruitment drive aimed to fill 189 posts. That is the historical figure given in the result coverage, not a current vacancy count.

How to find the result on UKPSC’s website
- Open the UKPSC official website.
- Go to Candidate Corner → Results to open the commission’s results directory.
- Look for an entry named for the Uttarakhand Combined State Civil/Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2024, then open the relevant notice or PDF.
- Check the notice date and wording to confirm whether it is the preliminary-stage list or the final selection result before relying on it.
- If the item or link is unavailable, return to UKPSC’s Results directory or current commission announcements rather than treating a third-party copy as the authoritative notice.
The indexed directory does not expose the specific historical 2024 result entry or a verified direct PDF URL. The exact row label and link therefore need to be checked on the live UKPSC site; no direct download link can be confirmed here.
How the preliminary result differs from the later final result
| Result stage | What it means | Date and status |
|---|---|---|
| Preliminary result | Shortlist of candidates qualified to proceed to Mains | Announced August 29, 2024, according to Scroll.in’s report |
| Final selection result | Later result stage; it should not be confused with the prelim shortlist | Jagran Josh reported publication on June 1, 2026. Check UKPSC’s current notice for the authoritative document and its details. |
The 2024 coverage listed November 16–19, 2024 as the then-scheduled Mains dates and September 7–21, 2024 as the fee-submission window. Both periods have passed; they are historical schedule information, not instructions for candidates now.

What to do if you need the final selection notice
Use the same UKPSC Results directory and identify the notice explicitly associated with the final selection stage. The June 1, 2026 publication date is supported here by later secondary reporting, not by an independently verified UKPSC notice. Rely on the commission’s own notice for the exact selected-candidate list or any detailed result information.
