Candidates accessed it with their Application Number and Date of Birth. This is an update for the 2024 exam cycle, not a new release.
Where candidates accessed the June 2024 city slip
The National Testing Agency (NTA) directed candidates to the official UGC-NET portal to check or download the advance intimation of their examination city. The UGC-NET portal now carries later-cycle material; it has not been established whether individual June 2024 slips remain accessible today.
- Open the official UGC-NET portal.
- Use the June 2024 examination city-intimation link, if available.
- Enter your Application Number and Date of Birth to access the slip.
What the city intimation slip told candidates
NTA’s public notice, dated 7 June 2024, said the June examination would cover 83 subjects in OMR (pen-and-paper) mode on 18 June 2024. The test offered three outcomes: Junior Research Fellowship and appointment as Assistant Professor; appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to Ph.D.; or admission to Ph.D. only. Read the NTA’s 7 June 2024 public notice for the original announcement.
The city slip was not the admit card
The city slip provided advance information about the examination city and date; it was not the document for exam-day entry. NTA’s 7 June notice stated, “The Admit Card of UGC – NET June 2024 shall be issued later.” NTA announced on 14 June 2024 that admit cards had been released and instructed candidates to download them separately using their Application Number and Date of Birth. The 14 June 2024 admit-card notice contains that announcement.
