Their exact UFC 312 purses have not been publicly confirmed in the official UFC sources reviewed. Third-party outlets published different estimates, and some totals include projected pay-per-view revenue and other contingent payments. Those figures should not be treated as verified earnings or take-home pay.
What is confirmed about UFC 312 pay?
UFC’s official results show Dricus du Plessis defeated Sean Strickland by unanimous decision in the middleweight title main event. The judges scored it 50–45, 50–45 and 49–46. The result confirms who won, but it does not disclose either fighter’s compensation. UFC’s event results and Strickland’s athlete profile record the event and result without providing an individual purse figure.
UFC’s March 1, 2025 event announcement reports a gate of $12.3 million AUD ($7.7 million USD), plus $66.7 million AUD in economic output and $16.9 million AUD in salaries and wages. These are event-wide measures, not payouts to Strickland or du Plessis. The salaries-and-wages figure does not identify either fighter’s share.
What estimates were reported?
Sporty Salaries published pre-event estimates of a $750,000 purse for du Plessis and $500,000 for Strickland, alongside estimated win-bonus, sponsorship and pay-per-view components. Because the figures were published before the fight and include projected elements, they are not confirmed final payments. Sporty Salaries’ pre-event report does not establish an official commission payout record.

A separate Sporty Salaries report estimated total payouts of $2.89 million for du Plessis and $1.38 million for Strickland, including projected pay-per-view revenue and other items. The retrieved report does not provide an official disclosure substantiating those totals. Its UFC 312 payout report therefore should be read as an estimate, not a confirmed earnings statement. TWSN also published event-specific purse coverage, but the available material does not establish an official commission record. TWSN’s UFC 312 purse coverage is not proof of final compensation.
Why the reported figures do not match
The estimates use different measures. One report separates a purported base purse from projected add-ons; another gives a larger estimated total that includes contingent or projected revenue. They are not like-for-like figures, so they cannot be combined into a single confirmed “purse.” A win bonus or pay-per-view share also cannot be inferred from the bout result alone without the fighters’ contract terms and a verified payout record.
