There is no verified basis in Udemy’s official sources for a general 80% discount in April 2026, and that date has passed. Udemy discounts vary by course, market, and offer; check the specific course’s checkout price and coupon terms before buying.
What the April 2026 claim means
April 2026 is a historical date. Udemy’s coupon FAQ explains how promotions and course-specific coupons work, but it does not verify that an 80%-off offer was available to all learners in that month. Treat that percentage as unconfirmed, not as a working or current code.
Udemy also says participation in its Deals Program is optional for instructors and a course’s inclusion in a particular promotion is not guaranteed. Its stated pricing factors include course topic, enrollments, conversions, ratings, reviews, and student behavior; prices can vary by market. A discount claim therefore cannot be assumed to apply to every course or learner. Udemy’s Deals Program terms explain that variability.
Udemy platform promotions and instructor coupons
Udemy identifies two main coupon sources. Platform promotions are run by Udemy and automatically apply to eligible courses or subscriptions at checkout. Instructors can create coupons for their own courses and share them directly; depending on the offer, a link may apply the coupon automatically or you may need to enter its code during checkout. How to check and redeem a coupon
- Open the course on Udemy.com. Confirm that the course and offer match what you intend to buy.
- Follow the instructor’s coupon link or add the course to your cart. A direct link may apply the instructor coupon automatically.
- If you have a code, enter it in the coupon field during checkout. Platform promotions generally apply automatically to eligible items.
- Check the final price and coupon conditions before paying. Confirm the discount appears, and review any expiration or redemption restrictions. If the price does not change, do not assume the code worked.
Udemy says coupon codes cannot currently be entered in its mobile app because app purchases use Google Play or Apple’s App Store payment systems. Use Udemy.com in a web browser to redeem a code. See Udemy’s FAQ on coupon redemption.
Why a Udemy coupon may not work
- The offer expired. Platform promotions end with the relevant promotion; instructor coupons may have a stated expiration.
- The coupon reached its redemption limit. Instructor coupons can have limits, so an otherwise valid code may no longer be usable.
- The course is not eligible. A promotion or instructor coupon may cover only particular courses, and a course’s inclusion in Udemy promotions is not guaranteed.
- You are trying to enter it in the app. Udemy directs learners to use the website for coupon entry.
- The price varies by market or offer. Udemy pricing and coupon terms can differ by course and country. The checkout page is the practical confirmation of the price for your purchase.
Do not confuse instructor coupon rules with a universal deal
Udemy’s instructor support materials describe coupon types with different expiration windows and redemption limits, and say coupon prices are adjusted to local currency and country price tiers. These are tools and rules for instructors managing their own offers, not evidence of a single learner-facing discount across the catalog.
