Uber and Qantas Frequent Flyer’s 20-million-point giveaway was an April 2024 promotion and is no longer open. The draw offered 1 million Qantas Points to one Uber rider each day for 20 days. Linking Uber and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts was the entry requirement; taking an eligible trip to or from an airport added a bonus entry.
How the April 2024 giveaway worked
Uber announced the promotion on April 12, 2024. Across April, it planned to award 20 daily prizes of 1 million Qantas Points each, for a total prize pool of 20 million points. Riders who linked their Uber and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts were entered in the daily draw. A linked rider who took an eligible trip to or from an airport received a bonus entry. Members whose accounts were already linked were automatically entered, according to Uber’s announcement.

The announcement also described other earning offers available at that time, including a first-trip bonus for some new users. Those were separate from the giveaway and are not evidence that the same offers remain available now.
Can you still enter?
No. The giveaway ran during April 2024 and has ended. Linking an account today does not enter you in that historical draw. Uber and Qantas have not established in the cited current program pages that the giveaway was extended or restarted.

Can you still earn Qantas Points on Uber?
Yes, eligible Uber transactions may earn Qantas Points under a separate, ongoing arrangement. This is not the giveaway: it involves earning points from qualifying rides or orders rather than entering a prize draw. Eligibility and rates depend on the transaction and current program terms.
Eligible airport rides
Qantas’s current page lists one Qantas Point per A$2 spent on rides to or from eligible Australian airports, and one point per A$1 for Reserve rides to or from eligible Australian airports. The listed rates are current as accessed in 2026; check the Qantas Uber partner page for the live airport list, conditions and exclusions before booking.

New-user bonus
Qantas currently lists a 1,000-point bonus for a new Uber user who links a Qantas Frequent Flyer membership and completes a first Uber trip after linking. The page limits this to one bonus per Qantas Frequent Flyer member and says points are credited within six weeks after an eligible trip or order has been completed and paid. Confirm the current terms on Qantas’s partner page before relying on the offer.
Uber One benefits
Uber describes additional earning opportunities for linked Uber One members, including specified Uber Comfort, Comfort Electric and Black rides in Australia, and eligible Uber Eats restaurant delivery orders over A$20. Certain order types and merchants are excluded, and eligibility for some offers may be shown in the app or determined at Uber’s discretion. See Uber’s Qantas page for applicable terms.

How to link accounts for current eligible earning
- Open the Uber app. Go to the Rewards section and choose the Qantas Frequent Flyer linking option.
- Enter or confirm your Qantas Frequent Flyer details. Follow the in-app prompts to connect the accounts.
- Check eligibility before you transact. Review the current terms for your airport, ride type or Uber Eats order, and confirm the accounts are linked before the eligible trip or order.
Qantas also identifies its website and app, as well as the Uber Eats app, as ways to link accounts. The available route and labels may vary; current instructions are on the Qantas partner page and Uber’s Qantas page.
