Peak XV, Turmeric Capital, BY Ventures, Dara Management and KE Partners also participated. Huspy said it would use the funding for European expansion, technology development and hiring, while continuing its Middle East growth, including an entry into Saudi Arabia.
The company combines property brokerage technology with mortgage distribution and transaction services. Its model is closer to an asset-light brokerage and financial-services platform than to an iBuyer that purchases homes for its own balance sheet.

What Huspy does
Founded in Dubai in 2020, Huspy aims to simplify the process of buying a home—from finding a property and arranging finance to completing the transaction. The company says it serves buyers, sellers, agents, brokers and mortgage providers through one technology-enabled platform.

- Property leads and discovery;
- CRM and workflow tools for agents and brokers;
- Transaction coordination and support;
- Mortgage-product distribution through banking partners; and
- Technology and AI tools intended to improve broker and agent productivity.
Huspy earns revenue through commissions and success fees, generally paid by agents and banks, according to TechCrunch. That makes the business different from an iBuyer, which typically acquires homes and carries inventory risk.

The $59 million Series B
Balderton’s announcement identified the following investors in the round:
- Balderton Capital, the lead and returning investor;
- Peak XV;
- Turmeric Capital;
- BY Ventures;
- Dara Management; and
- KE Partners.
The company did not disclose a valuation, revenue, profitability, burn rate or the split between primary funding and any secondary transactions. Those omissions mean the size of the round alone does not establish Huspy’s valuation or financial health.
Huspy’s previous financing
Huspy announced a $37 million Series A in 2022, led by Sequoia Capital India—now known as Peak XV—with Founders Fund and Fifth Wall participating. TechCrunch later described Huspy as having raised more than $40 million when an extension was included.
That difference reflects different ways of counting the earlier financing. Huspy also announced another Balderton-led funding round in May 2024 without disclosing the amount in the headline announcement. A precise cumulative fundraising total cannot be established from the available company and investor announcements.

Why Spain was the first European market
Huspy entered Spain in 2022 and initially operated in Madrid, Valencia and Alicante. The company’s strategy was to expand city by city rather than attempt an immediate nationwide rollout.
That approach reflects Spain’s fragmented brokerage market. Antoun told TechCrunch that Spain has more than 100,000 registered agents, creating an opportunity to provide technology and leads to agents who may have limited operational efficiency. Huspy said it planned to add six more Spanish cities by the end of 2025.

That is a company- and investor-reported figure, not an independently audited growth measurement. The Spanish playbook may offer a useful template, but it cannot automatically be transferred to every European market: property laws, licensing requirements, mortgage regulation, languages, agency structures and customer expectations vary by country.

Reported traction
Huspy and its investors have cited several significant operating figures:
- More than $7 billion in annual real-estate transactions facilitated;
- More than 25,000 people helped to buy homes;
- More than 10-times revenue growth since 2022;
- More than 20-times year-on-year growth in Spain during 2024; and
- A claimed share of roughly 30% of the UAE mortgage market, including 25% in Dubai.
These figures should be read carefully. “Transactions facilitated” is not the same as Huspy’s revenue, gross profit or completed transactions owned by the company. The available sources do not independently verify the market-share, transaction-volume, customer or revenue-growth claims. The denominator and methodology behind the UAE and Dubai mortgage-market figures are also not disclosed.
Why the model could scale
Huspy’s potential advantage is the combination of several parts of the home-buying process. An agent network can generate property demand and supply, while mortgage distribution creates an additional source of monetization beyond brokerage commissions.

The model is potentially more capital-efficient than buying homes, because Huspy does not primarily hold residential inventory. It may also benefit from relationships with banks, agents and property marketplaces. If the company can repeatedly launch in a new city, recruit productive agents, generate qualified leads and connect buyers with mortgage products, each market could reinforce the broader network.
But those benefits are execution-dependent. Huspy must maintain relationships with third-party marketplaces such as Property Finder and Idealista, control customer-acquisition costs, recruit active rather than merely registered agents, manage transaction quality and comply with local financial and real-estate rules.
Where AI fits—and what remains unclear
Balderton and TechCrunch referred to AI tools for brokers and agents. The available material does not specify the models, workflows, accuracy levels or adoption rates.
Potential applications could include lead scoring, listing creation, customer support, document processing or mortgage prequalification, but Huspy has not provided enough public detail to establish which functions are actually in production. Important unanswered questions include whether the tools are proprietary or built on third-party models, how sensitive financial and property data is protected, and whether AI measurably improves conversion rates or turnaround times.

In mortgage workflows, inaccurate outputs, weak explainability or poor data controls could create privacy, compliance and consumer-protection risks. “AI-enabled” should therefore be treated as a product-development claim, not proof of a durable competitive advantage.

Expansion beyond the UAE and Spain
At the time of the Series B announcement, Huspy said it operated in the UAE and Spain and planned to enter Saudi Arabia. It also described an ambition to reach most major European and Middle Eastern cities over four years, with ten cities globally planned for 2025.
Those were plans announced in 2025, not guarantees of delivery. As of August 2026, Huspy’s careers page said the company operated across five markets—UAE, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Turkey—and had more than 950 employees. Those are current company-reported figures; the page does not provide an independently verified city-by-city operating breakdown or financial performance.
Key risks for the expansion thesis
- Unclear market definitions: The claimed UAE mortgage share may use a narrower denominator than readers assume.
- Regulatory complexity: Brokerage, mortgage, consumer-protection and data rules differ across European and Middle Eastern jurisdictions.
- Housing-market cyclicality: Higher interest rates or weaker property activity could reduce transactions and mortgage demand.
- Agent quality: A large network can produce inconsistent service, compliance and customer experiences.
- Marketplace dependence: Reliance on external property portals may expose Huspy to changing access terms and rising lead costs.
- Unproven unit economics: Public sources do not disclose take rates, customer-acquisition costs, gross margins or profitability.
- Execution risk: Entering multiple cities at once can dilute management attention and local expertise.
- Financial-data and AI risk: Mortgage-related automation requires strong security, governance and human oversight.
What investors and readers still need to know
The funding announcement leaves several important diligence questions unanswered. Huspy has not publicly disclosed the Series B valuation, the amount of primary capital, revenue or gross margin, burn rate, profitability, active-agent count, brokerage-versus-mortgage revenue mix or the take rate on facilitated transactions.
It is also unclear how Huspy defines its $7 billion annual transaction figure, what portion of Spanish growth came from new branches or acquisitions, and what its five-market footprint represents operationally. The current careers page confirms the company’s stated presence in five markets, but not the scale or economics of each one.
Bottom line
Huspy’s $59 million Series B gives it substantial capital to test whether a UAE-born combination of brokerage technology, agent networks and mortgage distribution can transfer across fragmented European and Middle Eastern markets.
The opportunity is potentially more capital-efficient than an inventory-owning real-estate model, but it is also operationally and regulatorily demanding. The central question is not whether Huspy has raised money; it is whether its reported market share, transaction volume and growth can translate into durable, profitable economics across multiple jurisdictions.
